Research Archives and Educational Information:

The Interpretive Center at the Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site houses the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association’s archives and library. The WWBA library contains over 700 volumes of books, manuscripts, periodicals, and letters related to Walt Whitman. The library and archives are made available to students and researchers through appointment. If you are interested in making use of the WWBA library and archives, please contact the curator, Richard Ryan, on Mondays and Wednesdays between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for more information.
