The YMCA provides the community with opportunities to witness and work with our natural world. Come dig in the garden!
The Y has managed community garden space on Blacksbrg property behind the cemetery on Roanoke street for several years. Over the next 18 months, the Y will work to transition the community gardens to a larger location at the end of Maywood Street in Blacksburg.
An exciting component of the new community gardens is the creation of a solar greenhouse. The addition of the solar greenhouse will create a space where crops can be planted and harvested year round.
