ADAPTIVE AQUATICS:
Swimming provides a variety of therapeutic benefits to children without even realizing they are doing any work! Warm water has a relaxing effect on muscles, which makes it easier to move. In addition, while in the water, children with physical challenges are able to move without the natural pull of gravity. Increased circulation, breathing capacity, and improved range of muscle movement are some of the many benefits of this activity.
TRAIL offers a variety of swim lessons or if your child does know how to swim just come out and enjoy a hour and a half of games and activities.
Lessons $5 per week or $30 for 7 weeks.
Free swim is $2.50 per week if child is accompanied with adult (adult does not have to be in the water) $5 if child is unaccompanied.
Family members (sign up here) are welcomed at $2.50 per person not to exceed $10 per week. (Note: TRAIL cannot provide supervision for additional family members; they must be supervised by an adult.)
