Start An E-Mail Newsletter To Stay In Close Touch With Your Customers

Can you think of any more convenient, thoughtful and inexpensive way to demonstrate your expertise in your business to your customers, prospects, relevant reporters, staff, colleagues at the business and civic clubs?  Without the costs of layout, printing and mailing, you can provide helpful advise, offers, other ways to show people why they should buy or continue to buy from you, pass your e-mail onto their colleagues who might buy and familar with you.

If you aren't comfortable writing the newsletter, get a freelancer to interview you or take your first draft to polish your words. Get another consultant to help you with the small details of online design of a newsletter, and/or mass e-mailing it. Still your costs will be considerably less than with a traditional mailed newsletter. You can "mail it" more often, offer a poll, lead them to a web site where they can learn more, link your web site with valuable business and non-profit partners whose sites also serve your kind of customer so you gain access to each other's customers . .the list of benefits goes on.

To jump-start the introduction of your newsletter, offer prizes for the names to be drawn of the people who submit their email address to you. Offer to maintain their privacy, indicating you won't trade or sell your list of names. Tell them about upcoming topics, offers, etc.

When you announce the introduction of your newsletter, also announce an online poll on a topic of interest to your customers -- and the media that your customers read (local and industry). Offer poll respondents first glimpse at a summary of poll results, and offer reporters an extensive description of poll results, thus positioning you as a subject matter expert, for them to also call upon whenever they come across a story that touches on your kind of business.

The frequency of your e-mail newsletter will depend on how much time you have to write or find useful info. Ideastation (http://www.ideastation.com/) and/or Kevin Nunley (http://www.DrNunley.com) are a few places that will provide articles for use in online newsletters and on web sites.

You can publish daily, weekly or monthly or spontaneously. You can distribute your e-mail newsletter by using your e-mail program (e.g., Pegasus Mail) or a service especially designed for this purpose called Majordomo Listbot. Read other e-zines to get a feel for the kind of content your target audience finds important. E-zine fall into many categories ranging from purely organizational with updates about a specific company to general tips for a specific target audience and classified ads ezine that direct readers to specific products and services. Remember to focus and communicate audience benefits, and through word of mouth your e-zine subscription size will expand.

Building your list

From your web site you can advertise the benefits of your newsletter. Following your benefits should be a box or an e-mail link for people to click on or enter their e-mail address for inclusion in your mailing list. If you or your employees already ask people for their name, company, industry, address, phone and fax information, you now need to ask them for their e-mail address. If following up and keeping in touch with customers or potential customers is important to you, then all employees must ask them for their e-mail address. In addition to their email address, ask them what information about your company is most important to them. Do they want to be notified of new and/or updated products or services you offer? You may also want to add a line on all written materials sent out requesting the e-mail address of people who want to be notified of your company's services or products through your mailing list.

Additional ways to get your list noticed

  • Include mention of your new newsletter on all current promotional material such as your business cards, stationery, magazine, yellow pages or newspaper ads, etc.
  • Team up with another online newsletter and swap advertising space. My client Ben Kersen & The Wonderdogs has teamed up with an editor of a magazine called The Pet Gazette. They both cooperate to provide helpful material to the same audience.
  • Participate on discussion boards that are related to the topic of your newsletter. Position yourself as a helpful person by offering your assistance and this characteristic will draw new subscribers to your mailing list.

The benefits

  • constant contact with a list of people who have given you permission to send them your information. Always give list members the option of receiving notifications of sales or new products.
  • very inexpensive. no expenses for printing, postage, long distance phone/fax calls, paper you mail or fax
  • your newsletter can be used to remind your prospects and customers of your products and services - or to visit your web site for more details on them.
  • you may want to profit by selling ad space in your ezine

*Quick Tips To Effective Downloading*

1. Create a folder on your Hard-Drive to hold the software you download. Save everything to there.

2. Use a secondary e-mail account for the `Giveaway` sites as you may end up as a subscriber to a ton of lists. Use Fastmail, Yahoo! Mail, HotMail or Gmail. You may also be able to create a new account with your ISP, or with your Host if you have your own site.

3. Sign up when you need to with the Secondary address. You may have to confirm the address for some sites so check back often. If you find a e-zine or marketer you like consider re- joining with a main e-mail address.

4. Downloads are usually either provided straight after sign- up (don't close the window!) or via e-mail. Sometimes, it's the SECOND e-mail after confirmation that holds the download. If you see what looks like a sales-pitch after the sign-up check the end for a "Continue" link, since many marketers now use "One Time Offers". You have not been scammed - the free download is still there, you just have to click through the offer.

5. Especially if you use a free Web-based account make sure the confirmation or download e-mails have not ended up in the `Junk`, `Bulk` or `Spam` folder.

99% of Marketers providing free software are legitimate. If they have something to give, they will give it!

6. Just because something is older doesn't mean it's worthless. Always look for quality rather than hype. You'll soon know whose products to look for, and which contain real information.

*Profiting From The Downloads*

1. Sometimes you can sell a quality software package on it's own even if you downloaded it for free. If it has resell- rights, you are legally allowed to do so. Usually they have ready-made websites you can use thrown in. Just a matter of changing the "order" button.

2. Consider creating your own bundle from various packages, perhaps themed together. For example, a bundle about Site Promotion containing tools, scripts and guides on that subject.

3. Use some of the freebies as Bonuses to something you already sell. This may spur buyers `sitting on the fence` to act.

4. Consider placing the software packages on eBay if allowed, but be warned eBay prices for e-books etc have bottomed out. Even though you are unlikely to make a big profit you can still get a customer, and the prospect of future sales.

5. Think about Giving Away some quality software in order to build an e-mail list. You can also use a One Time Offer yourself before the visitor downloads the tool. That way you can get a subscriber, and get a few sales as well.

6. If a package has Private Label Rights or it is Brandable you can even embed links and offers within the package itself. If the package is `zipped` you can add a small html-file with information about your site or services into the archive. You can also use a utility such as `AnyBrander` to incorporate this information.

*Marketing With Your Own Freebie*

"Freebies" are provided by Marketers so they can (a) grow their lists, and (b) earn money. By providing your own freebie you too can do this!

1. The easiest and most effective way to use this method of marketing is to join a Giveaway Site or JV yourself. This will let you benefit from the traffic these huge events generate.

2. Make sure your freebie is NOT provided immediately, but only after the e-mail address is entered. It's only fair to let the subscriber have an easy way to leave, even if it means they join, download, then quit.

3. Immediately after the signup go to a `one time offer` page before the download. Make your offer as attractive as you can. It makes sense to offer a discount ($27-$97 are common prices) and to offer something related to the main product.

4. If you can, make sure your product itself includes links back to your own site(s). Also include other income-streams such as affiliate programs.

5. Including Giveaway Rights may mean it will spread further, with a viral effect. Including resale rights may even encourage to spread quicker since other marketers can make money on the product. If you can include Branding that gives another incentive for it to be offered. Branding normally includes the marketers name, link, and perhaps an affiliate option. Try PayDotCom.Com or ClickBank.Com for low-cost affiliate solutions.

6. Reguarly follow up to the subscribers you have gained with quality information, more freebies, and offers/promotions. Keep in mind the fact that it's unlikely all your e-mails will be read (due to `blackhole` e-mail accounts and bounces) but you should still get a worthwhile response rate.

How To Create Unique Software Branded With Your Site Details

Here’s two names for you - what do you suppose they have in common?

- Paul Allen

- Lawrence Ellison

If you got the answer, well done. If not, here’s a further name to help you crack this fiendish quiz:

- Bill Gates

The answer, of course, is that all three men are *software billionaires*. Bill Gates is the worlds richest man and, according to my accountant, he’s amassed over $50 billion in wealth by founding Microsoft. In essence, old Billy invented something simple yet so useful that practically the whole world now uses it - he created the icon/toolbar type interface that is used practically everywhere today. Meanwhile, Paul Allen was the co-founder of Microsoft and Lawrence Ellison set-up the company that is known today as Oracle (just in case you want to impress people at parties).

I bring all this up because you should know a simple yet powerful fact:

SOFTWARE SELLS - If you can find something that people genuinely need, that solves a crucial problem they have or makes things quicker or less stressed for them…then they will WANT it. And the benefits run far deeper than you may think. If you’re able to create software that thousands, even hundreds of thousands of people find useful, you can create a real viral traffic effect for your business that can last for years and years.

A good example is something like an affiliate link cloaker - when they first hit the market they were going at $97 a pop and that’s fine because they served a crucial purpose - they stopped commission thieves from stealing the cash & hard work of affiliates. Even today, every affiliate with an IQ that is above room temperature will use a link cloaker because it can significantly bump up their commissions. With the growth of ecommerce, affiliate/internet marketing we’re talking about a market here of millions of people. It opens up some interesting choices for you - you can offer your own brand version of the software for a low/medium ticket amount, or you can offer it as a f.ree software with master rights. If the software does what it’s supposed to, droves of affiliates will want to use it - they give it away themselves and before long tens of thousands of people are using it. Of course, the link to your website is prominently displayed on the software…and what do you suppose that’s going to do for your cause of attracting zero cost, targeted traffic?

Or, you could opt for high-class, high ticket software in the $97 to $297 range. If the software addresses a red hot issue, and you create a well crafted sales page, you can bet it’s going to shift some copies.

The thing is, there’s often a “I can’t” attitude that most online businessmen/marketers have with software development and it’s not totally unfounded:

- To create bespoke software by yourself requires a lot of specific, technical knowledge. Most people (myself included) simply do not have the skills to create software from scratch, or the time to learn (pick up a CGI book and try wading through that for an hour and you’ll see what I mean).

- To have software developed by a professional can cost anywhere from several hundreds to several hundred thousands depending on what you want created.

Not really an option for most individuals. But this desktop software creation package IS:

30 Minute Software Creator

“30 Minute Software Creator” sits on your desktop, and it literally allows you to create software that is branded with your own name/company. You can add links to your own website on the software too. It comes with several pre-loaded “recipes” so you can create software such as:

- Affiliate link cloakers

- Viral report generators

- Sales letter creators

- Pop-up generators

This is a fast way to create your own suite of software titles with zero technical knowledge or investment.

100 Internet Marketing Tips
These tips are a compilation from the many e-books and courses I’ve read on my journey with Internet Marketing. I hope you’ll find them useful.

The tips are in blocks of 10, starting below Use the links in the menu to the right to navigate through them….

  1. Turn your ad into an article. It could be a story, or how-to article. This will lead readers into your ad without them knowing it’s an ad. They’ll already be interested when they get to your sales pitch. For example, you could start your ad, “Once upon a time…” or “Free Report! How to….”.
  2. You could upsell to your customers. When they’re at your order page, tell them about a few extra related products you have for sale. They could just add it to their original order. For example, you could say, “Our new e-book would make a nice edition to the report. Just click here to add it to your order. It’s only $15 more.”
  3. Tell your customers if they refer four customers to your web site, they will receive a full rebate of their purchase price. This will turn one sale into three sales. You could also offer them other things in return for referrals like free e-books, free software, coupons, discounts, etc.
  4. When you sell a product, give your customers the option of joining an affiliate program so they can make commissions selling your product. This will multiply the sale you just made. For example, just imagine how many sales you could have with 1000 affiliates selling for you. It could eliminate ever buying any paid advertising again!
  5. Use the phrase “invest in our product” instead of the words “buy” or “purchase”. This makes prospects feel they’re investing in their future if they buy. You could also tell people how much others have got back from your product by publishing testimonials of people who have made money or reaped the benefits.
  6. Use logos and slogans for your business. They make it easier for people to remember and identify your business. For example, how many times have you had a problem and the first thing that popped into your mind is some business’ logo or slogan. It’s almost like an automatic reaction.
  7. When you ship out or deliver your product, include a coupon for other related products you sell in the package. This will attract them to buy more products from you. For example, haven’t you ever bought a product and saw an ad or flyer inside the package that made you want to buy another product?
  8. Send your customers a catalog of add-on products for the original product they purchased. This could be upgrades, special services, attachments, etc. If they like your product, they will buy the extra add-ons. For example, if you were selling computers, you could offer software, extended warranties, printer paper, etc.
  9. Use the word “fast” in your ad. People want fast results, fast delivery, fast ordering, etc. Nowadays, we usually value our time more than our money. For example, you could say, “Our product works fast!” Another example, “Our product comes with fast shipping options.”
  10. Send your customers free products with their product package. The freebies should have your ad printed on them. They could be bumper stickers, ball caps, T-shirts, etc. This will allow other people to see your ad and order. The freebies could also be trials and samples of other products and services you sell.
  11. Use the word “guaranteed” in your ad. People want to be assured they are not risking their hardearned money buying your product. For example, you could say, “Our product comes with a 90-day moneyback guarantee!” Another example would be, “Don’t forget our product comes with a lifetime guarantee!”
  12. Use the word “limited” in your ad. People want to own or receive things that are exclusive or rare because they are considered to be more valuable. For example, you could say, “This special edition will be limited to the first 500 who order!” Another example would be, “Order before (date) to get this limited version of our e-book!”
  13. Use the word “easy/simple” in your ad. People want easy ordering, easy instructions, easy to use, easy payments, etc. For example, you could say, “It’s the easiest way to lose weight!” Another example would be, “It’s easy to order - just click here and fill out your information!”
  14. Use the word “testimonial” in your ad. People want to see believable proof before they buy your         product. It should be reputable and specific proof. For example, you could say, “Check the hundreds of testimonials we have received!” Another example would be, “All these testimonials below were given voluntarily without payment!”
  15. Use the words “discount/sale” in your ad. People want to find bargains. They could be rebates, one time sales, percentage offers, get-one-free offers, etc. For example, you could say, “Get a 50% rebate if you order before (date)!” Another example would be, “Order before our buy-one-get-one-free sale ends!”

  16. Use the word “free” in your ad. People want free incentives before they do business with you. They could be free books, accessories, services, etc. For example, you could say. ” Free shipping with every order over $50!” Another example would be, “Order within the next 5 minutes to get 3 extra bonuses free!”

  17. Include emotional words in your advertisements. Use ones like love, security, relief, freedom, happy, satisfaction, fun, etc. For example, you could say in your ad, “Imagine meeting the love of your life and feeling the pleasure of happiness. You’ll have the security of knowing you won’t be alone any more.”

  18. Use the word “important” in your ad. People do not want to miss important information that could affect their lives. People will stop and take notice. For example, your headline could read, “Important Warning!…” Another example could be, “Important! Stop And Take Notice!…”

  19. Use the word “new” in your ad. People want new products or services that will improve their lives like new information, tastes, technology, results, etc. For example, you could say, “Learn a new revolutionary way to lose weight!” Another example would be, “New! Just Released!…”

  20. Show your prospects how much enthusiasm you have for your product and business. If you’re convincing enough, they will be enthusiastic too. For example, you could say, “I’m so EXCITED about our new product!” Another example would be, “I can’t wait for you to experience these benefits!”

  21. Make copies of your web site in many different languages. This’ll allow foreign speaking people to read your web site and advertisements. For example, if one of your visitors couldn’t read English, would they buy from you? It would be very unlikely. You could just have all the languages of your web site listed on your home page so they could click on the one they could read.

  22. Use a lot of headlines on your web site and e-zine. Some types of headlines are free offers, questions, problem solvers, sales, and statistics. For example, “Free E-book”, “Want To Get Out Of Debt?”, “Free Article”, etc. You could also turn the headlines into graphics to make them look more professional.

  23. You could end your ad copy with a discounted price. Just list your regular price and then offer a discounted price off the order ‘right now’. You could also offer a rebate that takes effect instantly. For example, you could say, “Instead of paying $99, you could order now and get an instant rebate of $20 -you only pay $79!”

  24. You could end your ad copy with a free sample or trial of your product. If your ad didn’t attract them to buy, maybe a free sample or trial would. If you were selling an e-book, you could give them a free sample at the end of your ad copy. For example, you could say, “If you’re still not sure about ordering, download a FREE sample chapter!”

  25. Sell a few back-end products that are not related to your main product but are needed by all humans. Every customer that buys from you is human. Think about it - everyone eats, right? For example, you could say, “Free Bonus 1# A Free $30 Dollar Coupon To The Restaurant Of Your Choice!”

  26. Use the words “you/your” in your ad. People want to know that you are talking to them. This’ll make them feel important and attract them to read the whole ad. For example, you could say, “You could be the winner in our next contest!” Another example would be, “You are experiencing the benefits already, aren’t you?”

  27. Offer daily or weekly visitor bonuses. This will increase your repeat traffic and sales because your visitors will visit regularly to get the visitor bonuses. For example, you could say, “Every week I will be giving away a new e-book to my web site visitors. Sign up to be reminded when it’s ready each week.”

  28. Make your visitors curious about your product by telling them they need to sign up to get into a password protected site to read the rest of the ad. This will give your product extra perceived value because it is so well guarded. Just like a diamond in a bank vault.

  29. Remember the little things about your web pages really count. Include the title of your site at the top right corner, a description about your site, etc. For example, if I visited your web site and didn’t know or understand what it was all about, I would probably leave right away.

  30. Turn your banner ad into a trivia question. Post the question on the banner and tell readers they can win a prize if they answer the question at your site. People love trivia because it makes them feel smart when they get the right answer. The prize is just an extra incentive for them to click on your banner.

  31. Motivate people to buy your product. Tell them positive things. For example, you could say, “You can now reach your goals and change your life if you buy our product.” If you come across positive in your ad copy, they will become positive about reaching their goals using your product.

  32. Increase your ratio of visitors who purchase your product(s). You could change your headline, offer a stronger guarantee, add testimonials, etc. For example, one week you could have your headline say, “How To Lose 5 Pounds In Two Days!” and the next week use, “Lose 5 Pounds In Only 48 Hours!” Just see which one pulls more orders per visitors.

  33. Get your sales letters and web site evaluated for free. Visit business discussion boards and ask other participants to evaluate them. Don’t get discouraged if someone gives you a lot of negative feedback about your web site. Most people are only trying to help you. Take the criticism constructively.

  34. Personalize all your e-mail messages so they get read. Include the recipient’s name in the subject line. This will grab people’s attention quickly. For example, wouldn’t “(your name), Learn How To…” get your attention more than just “Learn How To…”? I figured you would say that.

  35. Test different web site color themes to see which combination will sell your product better. You can also test the size and style of your web site text. For example, red usually signals: stop, anger, excitement, love, sex, fun, etc. Another example, blue usually signals: relaxation, authority, coolness, etc.
  36. Promise your readers an end result or outcome in your ad. You must give them a solid guarantee that your product will solve their problem. For example, you could say, “I personally guarantee you will get over your shyness in 10 days or less or your money back.”

  37. Attract people to link to your web site. You could offer them a discount on the products you sell or give them free items for linking. For example, you could say, “Get A Huge 30% Discount On Our E-book If You Agree To Link To Our Web Site For At Least One Month!”

  38. Develop your own opt-in email list by giving your visitors a reason to give you their e-mail address. Allow them to sign up to free items and contests. Just get their permission to e-mail them again in the future for other things. For example, you could say, “Sign Up For Your Chance To Win A Color TV!”

  39. Create a “PR” web page for your business. List information that could be considered newsworthy for e-zines, newspapers, magazines, etc. There are many ways to get into the media, like launching a unusual product, donating a large amount to charity, holding big events, etc.

  40. Give your business and products credibility by linking to web sites that have written positive stories about your business. You could link to them right in your product ad. For example, you could say, “Just See What (name) Magazine Is Saying About Our Newest E-book!”

  41. Allow your visitors to decided how much they want to pay for your product. I only recommend it for products that don’t sell or ones that hardly sell. Tell them you’ll accept offers via e-mail or your web form. You could even accept fair barter deals for other products and services.

  42. Never assume people believe the information in your ad copy. You need to back-up all your claims with indisputable evidence. For example, you could include testimonials, expert endorsements, third party tests or studies, strong guarantees, a list of customers, pictures of customers, etc.

  43. Give your customers free shipping. If you can’t afford that, you can give free shipping to customers who buy over a certain dollar amount to raise profits. You could also charge other businesses for inserting ads in your product package. This will make up for your free shipping losses.

  44. Test your web site regularly for ordering glitches, bad links, broken graphics, etc. Those types of errors will make your business look unprofessional. If your visitors can’t order, navigate to where they want to go or see pictures of your product, they likely won’t revisit or order.

  45. Build a professional looking web site even if you have a small budget. You could use free graphics, designs, list servers and other tools offered online. Just go to your search engine or web directory of choice and type in “free (what you want)” and you will usually find it.

  46. Use a lot of sub-headlines on your web site. This will hold people’s attention and keep them at your web site longer. Sometimes people don’t have time to read a whole sales letter. This will allow you to sell to people who are skimmers. Plus it will get the reader’s full attention at the same time.

  47. Allow your prospects to choose between a retail or wholesale price. Of course you need to make a profit on the wholesale price. Just charge people a monthly or yearly membership fee to always get your products at wholesale cost. Your business would be like the offline wholesale shopping clubs.

  48. You could reward your potential customers if they spend over a specific dollar amount. Tell them if they spend over $100, they get a 10% discount. You could also extend the offer over a certain period of time and attract them to revisit your web site. For example, you could say, “Buy Over $50 Worth Of Merchandise Within The Next Month And Get A 20% Discount!”

  49. Make your visitors feel comfortable at your web site. Give them your main business address. Your visitors may not trust you if you’re using a P.O. Box. If you want to make them feel really comfortable, give them your business, home and cell phone number. Then they will know they can get hold of you if they need help.

  50. Give your visitors a free membership to your online club. People want to belong to something, why not your online club? You could also give away a free e-zine for club members only. You could make money by offering a deluxe membership for a monthly fee.

  51. Tell your audience what kind of support they’ll get after they buy. It could be free consulting, tech support, free servicing, etc. This may also answer some of their buying questions ahead of time. People don’t want to buy products without knowing you will be there to help if they have problems.

  52. Make your classified ads stand out in a crowd. Use all capital letters in the headline, divide letters with extra spaces, add in text symbols, etc. For example, you could write, “WIN a VACATION to Las Vegas!” Another example would be, “Win A ($) Trip To Las Vegas

  53. Spice up your web site’s wording by using plenty of adjectives. It gives your visitors a clearer vision of what you’re explaining or describing to them. For example, if you were describing a software program you could say, “This easy-to-use software gently guides you through the whole set up process.”

  54. Don’t make your banner ads look like ads. Most people ignore banner ads. Design them to look like content and have people click to read the rest. For example, you could say, “How To Increase Your Sales By 200% by Larry Dotson. To Read Click Here!”

  55. Ask people at the end of your copy why they decided not to buy. This will give you new ideas on how to produce ad copy that’s more profitable. Have a web form or e-mail link in place so they can answer you. You may find out they don’t like your guarantee or graphics. It could be anything.

  56. Market your web site as a free club instead of a web site. This’ll increase your repeat visitors and sales because people enjoy belonging to groups. You could have a members’ message board, give visitors’ membership IDs, give them membership graphics to place on their web sites, etc.

  57. Tell your potential customers that your ordering system is highly secure. Also reassure them that you take every effort to protect them. People want to feel they are safe online. They want to know that you care about their well-being. Tell them all about what you currently do for them to make them feel more secure.

  58. Check your web site links regularly. If people click on a link and it doesn’t work, they usually won’t risk wasting their time clicking on another one. For example, would you revisit a web site after two of the links you really wanted to click on didn’t work? You probably wouldn’t even bookmark the site.

  59. Give visitors a positive experience when they’re at your web site. Provide them with original content and free things. They’ll tell all of their friends about it. You could also persuade them to tell their friends about it by starting an affiliate program. It could pay per sale, per click or per lead.

  60. Use pictures or graphics on your web site that support the product you’re selling. They could give your visitors a clearer vision of your product, the benefits of the product, people’s emotion when they own the product, etc. You could also use ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures.

  61. Use a handwritten letter on your ad copy instead of text. Write the ad on a piece of paper, scan it and publish the ad on your web page. Adding a personal touch will always increase your sales. If you don’t want to write the whole letter by hand, you could just put your signature at the end.
  62. Publish a list of famous and respected customers who have bought from you on your ad copy. People will think that if these people bought from you, they should also trust your business and purchase your products. Make sure to get their permission first. For example, you could say, “Here is a list of some of our most valued customers:…”
  63. Show ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos for your products on your web page copy. Show the problem picture and then beside it, show the picture of how the problem was resolved when they used your product. This will give your prospects a clearer mental image of the possible benefits of using your product.
  64. Include an article or review which has been written about you or your business with your ad copy. This will show people that your business is respected and will increase your credibility. You could include the full review or an excerpt of it.
  65. When you offer free bonuses in your ad copy, also list the dollar value beside each bonus. People will feel they’re getting a good deal and it will increase the value of your product. For example, you could say “Bonus 1# Free Internet Advertising E-book Valued at $47!”
  66. Hire a famous person to endorse your product or service. Make sure the person is well-known to your target audience. Include their picture and statements in your ad copy. Using a picture endorsement is more powerful because it shows the endorser likes your product enough to show his or her face.
  67. Include your own picture in your ad copy. This will show people that you’re not hiding behind your ad copy and will increase their trust. Also, include your contact information below the picture and a brief statement or quote. If you feel adventurous, you could include an online audio sound bite or video clip of yourself.
  68. Provide a privacy statement and all your contact information on every page of your web site. This’ll persuade your visitors and prospects to trust you. For example, if your contact information was only on your home page and they had a question about ordering one of your products on another page, they might just get frustrated and leave your web site.
  69. Ask your potential customers plenty of ‘yes’ and ‘no’ questions in your ad copy. The questions should remind them of their problem and make them think about what will happen if they don’t purchase your product. For example, you could say, “Do you want to get out of debt?” “Do you want to have financial security?”
  70. Tell your potential customers they will receive a free prize if they find the five words in your ad copy that are misspelled or spelled backwards. The longer you can keep someone reading your copy, the greater chance of them purchasing. You could also have them find hidden links, hidden graphics, etc.
  71. 71 Give your prospects extra incentives so they will order quicker. It could be free shipping, a faster shipping option, free gift-wrapping, etc. For example, you could say, “Free gift-wrapping to the first 1000 people who order.” Another example, “Free shipping to anyone who orders before (date).”
  72. Make your small business look big on the world wide web. Design your web site using professional graphics, ordering systems, organized layouts, etc. For example, on the web no one really knows if you’re a one-man business or huge corporation, unless you tell them. Just design your web site to look professional.
  73. Attract a lot more customers by giving them clear ordering instructions. Give them all the information they need so they can complete their order easily. For example, you could say, “Please fill out all of the order form below. We accept all major credit cards and online checks. Please click the “Order” button only once. You don’t want to get double charged.”
  74. Give your customers buying incentives so they’ll make repeat purchases. Offer them discounts, free gifts, bonus points, etc. For example, if you give your customers points every time they buy something, they will start collecting them and buy more things. They will want to save up enough points to get a free product.
  75. Tell people about your site whenever you get a chance. Those people will tell other people and so on. It’s a cheap way to multiply your advertising. For example, if you’re at a grocery store, mention it to people you talk to; the check clerk, the bag boy, etc. Every little bit helps.
  76. Write and send press releases for your web site. Use strong headlines, make it newsworthy, and tell the journalist why their readers would like it. You could increase your chances of getting your release read or published by communicating with editors regularly and creating a professional friendship with them.
  77. Make your long ad copy interesting enough so people click through to the next web page. If it’s not, they won’t take the time to click and read more. For example, you could say, “Click here to read more and to get a top secret tip!” Another example, “Click here to read about the 10 free bonuses!”
  78. Design graphics, templates, buttons and banner ads for other sites. Allow people to use them in exchange for your web link on their home page. For example, you could require the users to say on their web site, “These graphics were made possible by (your business name and web site address).”
  79. You could hold a special $1 sale for your potential customers. They’ll come to your web site to buy your product for only a dollar, but may buy other products. For example, you could sell an e-book for one dollar and have ads near it for other e-books you sell for, say, $27.
  80. Start an e-zine for your web site. When people read each issue they’ll be reminded to revisit your web site. They’ll see your product ad more than just once, which will increase your orders. You’ll need to have at least 50% original content in it so people don’t unsubscribe because they read your information in other e-zines.
  81. Form an online community. It could be an online message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room. When people get involved in your community, they will regularly return to communicate with others. You could also invite your online community to free “how to” classes hosted in your chat room or by teleconference.
  82. Write articles and submit them to e-zines, web sites and magazines that accept article submissions. Include your business information and web address at the end of the article. You could also give the editors extra incentives to publish your article, like freebies, affiliate commissions, offers to publish their article, etc.
  83. Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to give the freebie away as well. This’ll increase your ad exposure and attract people to your web site at the same time. You could also use it as a bonus for another product you sell or as a free surprise gift for your most loyal customers.
  84. Combine your products or services into one big package deal with offerings from other businesses. You could share a web site and advertise the package deal which would mean double the traffic. It could be one or more business. If the business is your competition, you would want to use a neutral product.
  85. Submit your freebie to the online directories that list your particular item or service for free. If you’re offering a free e-zine, submit it to all the free e-zine directories on the Internet. There are free e-book directories, web site directories, general freebie directories, free article directories, etc.
  86. Participate on message boards. Post answers to other people’s questions, ask questions and post appropriate information. Include your signature file at the end of all your postings. Some message boards let you include a text link at the end of your message. Plus you can learn great tips reading all the postings.
  87. Exchange classified or sponsor ads with other free e-zine publishers. If there is a huge subscriber difference between e-zines, one can run more ads to make up for it. You could also offer free items or affiliate commissions. Another idea would be to offer them an ad on your web site too.
  88. Post your ad on free advertising areas on the Internet. You can post it on free classified ad sites, free for all links sites, newsgroups that allow ads, free yellow page directories, etc. Of course all of those areas have different rules for submissions so you may have to structure your offer differently each time.
  89. Maximize the effectiveness of your banner ads. Don’t just use the same ad on every banner, use a variety to attract the greatest number of clicks. If you are hosting banner ads on your web site for affiliate programs you have joined, you could use a banner rotator to give each one equal exposure.
  90. Make your web site load much faster by cutting down on banner ads and using more buttons. Button ads are also smaller and take up less space. Also there is nothing wrong with text links. They usually pull in more response than banner ads because people nowadays often ignore banners.
  91. Offer free advertising space to well-known and respected companies on your web site. Sometimes people link their business credibility to yours. If you sell advertising this might help too. People will see high profile ads on your web site and want to advertise there too.
  92. People have been taught all their lives to respect people in authority. Tell your visitors that you are the president or CEO of your business. For example, you could sign your ad or web site, “(your name) Vice-President of (the business).” Another example, “(your name) Author Of The Book (title).”
  93. Offer people a free telephone consultation before they order your product. When they get to know you personally, it could convert to more sales. You could also use a chat room or message system on your web site to communicate with them.
  94. Test the “bill me later option” on your web site. Most people are honest and will pay you. It is a powerful little technique and could increase your sales. You would just have to e-mail them a bill or charge their credit card a few weeks later. You could offer Cash On Delivery (COD) too.
  95. Find a charity your target audience would likely support. Tell people in your ad copy that you will give a percentage of the profits to that charity. You could give them a few choices of which charity their percentage of the profits should go. Just let them check the one they want when they order.
  96. Hold a “Buy the Most Wins” contest on your web site. Tell people each monthly winner will get their entire purchase refunded. This will get some of your customers to compete to get all their purchases for free.
  97. Attract visitors to your web site by offering them a free course. You could package the course on a follow-up autoresponder and send lessons daily. You could offer other autoresponder courses in your first autoresponder course to allow them to see your message even more times. Just include your ad in each lesson.
  98. Interview people related to your industry and get their legal permission to convert it to an article. Promote your web site by submitting it to e-zines. You could make it a column and interview someone new every week. If an e-zine elects to run your column regularly that would be free ongoing exposure.
  99. Make your readers visualize they have already bought your product in your ad. Tell them what results they have got from it and how it makes them feel. They’ll already become emotionally attached before they buy. For example, you could say, “Imagine using our product to increase your sales by 600%!”
  100. When you make your first sale, follow-up with the customer. You could follow-up with a “thank you” e-mail and include an advertisement for other products you sell. You could follow-up every few months. For example, you could attach or link to an e-book catalog on all the product you sell or resell.

Bonus Internet Marketing Tips

Include the reprint/reproduction rights with your product. This increases the perceived value because people can start a business and make money. You can also include some of your advertisements in or on the product. The more it gets resold, the more your ad will be seen.

Get the word out about your product and brand it. This increases the perceived value because people believe brand name products are better quality. If you want to quickly brand your product, team up with an already branded business and use their name. You could just give them a percentage of your profits.

Participate in chat rooms related to the product you're reselling. Start a conversation with a person without trying to sell to him or her. Later on, while you are chatting, mention the product you're reselling. You could end up selling your product, creating a friendship or finding a joint venture partner.

Create a free e-book with the advertisement and link of your affiliate web site. The subject of the free e-book should draw your target audience to down- load it. Also submit it to some e-book directories. The more exposure your free e-book gets, the more your ad will be seen.

Start your own affiliate program directory. Join a large number of affiliate programs and list them all in a directory format on your web site. Then just advertise your free affiliate program directory. You will earn commissions and gain sub-affiliates. Plus you could start an affiliate-related e-zine too.

Write your own affiliate program ads. If all the other affiliates use the same ads that you do, it won’t give you an edge over your competition. Use a different ad to give yourself an unfair advantage over all the other affiliates. If you have sub-affiliates, tell them to do the same.

Use a personal endorsement ad. Only use one if you've actually bought the product or service for the affiliate program. Tell people what kind of benefits and results you've received using the product. You need to purchase the product or service in order to write a honest endorsement.

Advertise the product you're reselling in your signature file. Use an attention-getting headline and a good reason for them to visit your affiliate site. Make sure your sig file doesn't go over 5 lines. Also include your name, occupation, business name and e-mail address.

Join a web ring. It should attract the same type of people who would be interested in buying the product you're reselling. You could also trade links on your own with other related web sites. Also you could create an e-zine ring with other e-zine sites.

Bonus Internet Marketing Tips 2

Participate on web discussion boards. Post your comments, answer other people's questions, and ask your own questions. Include your affiliate text link under each message you post. If they read your message and like it, they may click to see what else you have to offer them.

Create a free e-zine. Use your e-zine to advertise the affiliate programs you've joined. Submit your e-zine to online e-zine directories and promote it on your web site. Trade e-zine ads with other publishers. Announce your e-zine to e-zine announce lists.

Start a private web site. Use it as a free bonus if people buy the product you resell. You could also allow people to join for free and you could advertise the affiliate program you've joined. You could also charge a subscription fee for an upgraded version of it.

Provide your web site visitors with content they can't read anywhere else. People will stay longer at your web site to read the original content. You could also allow them to read through your e-zine and archive the back issues on your web site. Or you could charge access to the back issues because it would be original content.

Remind your web site visitors they can print out your content. They may browse around your online store while it's printing. They may read it at home, work, outside, etc. Other people might see what they’re reading and want to visit your web site or subscribe to your e-zine.

Offer your web site visitors a freebie if they take the time to fill out your online survey. They'll be at the site longer and might buy something afterwards. Your survey could ask them what kind of products they want, what they think of your customer service, how they like your web site, etc.

Offer your visitors free software that they can download right from your web site. While they are waiting they might read your ad. Also, if possible, include your ad in the software so after they open it, they'll see your ad again. This will help increase your sales.

Provide a huge online directory of information that your visitors could search through. The directory must contain information your visitors would want. It could be news stories, how-to articles, interviews, case studies, profiles, survey results, online audio, online video, e-books, reports, etc.

Make sure all your web pages load fast or your visitors will get bored and leave. Time is precious; they won't waste it waiting for your site to load. Do not use too many graphics and high tech gizmos. They may have a hard time finding your product ad.

Bonus Internet Marketing Tips 3

Tell your visitors what's offered at your web site at the very beginning. If people are confused about what's being offered they may leave too early. You could tell them the benefits they get and the things they can do at your web site, like subscribe to your e-zine, read free articles, download free e-books, learn to increase their sales, etc.

Make your web site look professional. People will get turned off and leave if they see a lot of spelling and grammatical mistakes. You don't want any broken graphics or links either. Make sure your background colors don't make your text hard to read.

You could hold a holiday sale for your potential customers. For example, you could tell them every- thing on your site is discounted by up to 50% on Thanksgiving Day. Another example, "Fourth Of July Sale! Buy One, Get One Half Off!" Using holiday sales gives you a specific and credible reason for your prices to be lower.

Use headlines and sub-headlines all over your your web site that will grab your visitors’ attention. They will attract them to explore your web site longer. They could be for your free e-zine, product ads, free content, message board, chat room, etc.

Place colorful graphs, pie charts and other charts in your ad copy. Use charts as they will grab a person’s eye because they are usually colorful. They will also support your product or service claims and allow your target audience to understand them easier.

Highlight buying incentives like free bonuses, money-back guarantees, testimonials, special offers, discount sales, etc. You could place them in boxes, in front of different colored backgrounds, assemble symbols or graphics around them, etc.

Use short sentences or sentence fragments in the body of your ad copy. A short burst of words can catch a skimmer’s eye with one quick glance. If people have to read a long sentence or paragraph in order to understand your message, the skimmers may not order from you.

Highlight all the important keywords and phrases in your ad copy. You could use bolding, underlining, different colors, graphic text, italics, symbols, indents and extra spaces to highlight the important words or phrases.

Place attention-grabbing pictures above and within your ad copy. A powerful technique is to use ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures of people using your product. They will give your target audience a clearer vision of what you're offering. That will help them imagine themselves getting the benefits of your product.

Bonus Internet Marketing Tips 4

Use a headline that catches the attention of your target audience. You could use many different types of headlines, free offers, guarantees, testimonials, news stories, questions, benefits, warnings, statistics, features.

Make your ad's keywords and phrases stand out by enlarging the text. This technique works wonders with headlines and sub-headlines. People see them first because it's easier for their eyes to focus on. You could also use different fonts for your headlines than the rest of your ad copy.

Make your product’s list of benefits and features stand out by using a symbol in front of each of them. The symbol could be a dash, solid circle, star, etc. Also indenting them will help make them stand out. Each benefit should be written like a headline to get the readers’ attention and tell them what’s in it for them.

Change your ads regularly. Your prospects could get bored seeing the same ad all the time. Statistics show people usually see the same ad 7 times before they actually buy. Just change them enough to keep them from being over-exposed. For example, if your ad said. "FREE Killer Marketing E-book!", you could change it later on to "FREE Sizzling Marketing E-book!"

Lower the chances of negative word-of-mouth marketing. You'll always have customers who are dissatisfied. Try to please them as much as possible. You could give them a refund, discount, a free product, a coupon, a rebate, a compliment, etc. Just be polite and stay calm if they are angry or frustrated with your business.

Give people a deadline to order. Tell people if they order by Sept.15, 2002, they will get a discount or free bonuses. This will create an urgency so they don't put off buying. Another example, "Order before 8:00 p.m. US/EST and get a second product of your choice for free!"

Offer people a money-back guarantee. The longer the guarantee, the more effective it will be. It could be a 30-day, 60-day, 1 year, or lifetime guarantee. You could also offer them double or triple their money back or a set amount of money back, like $25. You could also allow them to keep the product if you can afford to do that, even if they ask for a refund.

Offer a free on-site repair service for products you sell. This is convenient for people because they won't have to send it away for repairs and they won't have to be without the product for a long period of time. If they have to send the product to you to get repaired, offer them free shipping.

Publish testimonials on your ad copy. They will give your business credibility and you'll gain people’s trust. It's important to include the person's full name and location with the testimonial. For example, "Jon Goodhart, Auto Mechanic, Wooster, Ohio."

Bonus Internet Marketing Tips 5

Give people free bonuses when they order your product or service. The free bonuses could be books, jewelry, reports, newsletters, etc. Make their bonuses sound extra valuable by listing their retail value, either separately or together in one amount, or limiting how long you will offer the bonuses.

Allow people to make money reselling the product or service. Tell people they can join your affiliate program if they order. You could pay them per sale, per click, per referral, etc. Just provide them with proven and tested marketing materials, detailed statistics and plenty of affiliate training.

Offer free 24-hour help with all products you sell. Allow customers to ask you questions by e-mail, by toll free phone, by free fax, etc. If for some reason you can't offer this service, answer their questions and concerns as soon as possible. You could also let them know you received their message and you'll get back to them as soon as possible.

Provide free shipping with all orders. If you can't afford it, you could offer free shipping on orders over a specific dollar amount. You could also offer a rebate on their shipping costs. Most customers most probably won’t send in the rebate card unless it's a huge shipping cost, for example, $30 or more.

Give away a free sample of your product. You will gain people's trust when you allow them to try out a free sample of your product. If they like it they won't hesitate buying it. Your sample should only give them a small taste of what's in it for them if they buy.

Offer a buy-one, get-one-free deal. If you sell more than one product, this type of deal works great. People will feel they are getting more for their money and will order quicker. You could also offer them a ‘buy one, get one half’, ‘buy two, get the third one free’, ‘buy two, get a free watch’, etc.

Increase the number of visitors who revisit your web site by publishing a free course right on your site. Just release a new lesson once a week. You could even offer a live chat room class every week or a class published on autoresponder.

Make sure your graphics load correctly on your web site. Broken graphics will make your business look very unprofessional. That also goes for broken links and slow loading graphics. People can find other web sites to visit with a click of a mouse.

Avoid using scrolling marquees on your web site. They take the attention away from your ad copy and make your web page load slower. Just type the message on your web site. You can highlight it with flashing, color or bigger text.

Bonus Internet Marketing Tips 6

Make the text on your web site exciting to read. You can use emotional words, descriptive adjectives, highlighted keywords, exclamation points, etc. You can also get your prospects excited by showing how much passion and excitement you have for your product or service.

Remember to reach out and touch your visitors offline. When your visitors give you offline contact information, use it to send them some non-selling greeting card by mail, a friendly phone call, a little gift, etc. This is actually pre-selling them back-end products because when you eventually try to sell them one, they will be more receptive to your offer.

Use guest books to improve your web site. Your visitors will leave good and bad comments. Review the comments and use them to improve your site. You can find out critical things, like how people like navigating around your web site, if the design looks professional, etc.

Regularly check and resubmit your web site's search engine rankings. They can drop very quickly because of all the competition. Keep informed of new search engine strategies by visiting informative web sites, subscribing to related e-zines, buying search engine how-to e-books, etc.

Divide your product’s price over a period of time to make it sound less. Offer a payment plan, or show the per day price. For example, "Only 33 cents per day!" If it's an information product, you could divide it by the number of pages, tips, chapters, strategies or minutes/hours/days it took you to create it.

Promote your products within the content of your web site. If you write and offer free articles, include a mention of the product or service you're selling. You could include it in your resource box or subtly reveal it within your article if it's related.

Update the content on your web site regularly. You'll want to add new content and update the old content. People want timely information that tells them how to do something ‘now’, not how it was done 10 years ago. That's another reason you should constantly be educating yourself.

Ask visitors to subscribe to your e-zine. It's a good idea to also give them a freebie when they subscribe. Once they are subscribed, they might read your content, see your advertisements, join your affiliate program, buy advertising, revisit your web site, etc. The benefits are endless.

Have them sign up to get access to download a free e-book. The subject of the e-book should be related to your target audience. You could have them sign up to a opt-in list or your regular e-zine. The e-book should have high perceived value so they'll take the time to sign up.

Bonus Internet Marketing Tips 7

Give your visitors a free membership inside your Members Only web site. Have them sign up to receive a user name and password. You could create a Members Only e-zine to capture their e-mail address and membership updates so they will revisit your web site again and again.

Hold a free contest or sweepstake at your web site. Ask them to give you their contact information to enter. Just get their permission to send them new product offers. You could also announce the winners to them, as well as sending new contest announcements.

Offer your visitors free consulting via e-mail. Have them fill out a web form to e-mail you with their questions. When you answer their questions, include an offer for a product you sell or highly recommend products that could help them. You could join the product’s affiliate program to earn commission if they take your advice.

Hold an interactive poll on your web site. Ask your visitors to e-mail you their vote or opinion. You could send them a "thank you" e-mail and also mention a product you're selling. Tell them to subscribe to your e-zine so they can see the results of the poll.

Ask your visitors to sign up for a chance to get a web site award. Have them e-mail you their contact and web site information. You can e-mail the web- master and tell him/her if they are the winner or not. Include your signature file at the end of your e-mail mentioning a product you sell.

Have visitors fill out a survey on your web site. Give them a free gift as an incentive to complete the form. You can e-mail the results of the survey and offer them a free e-book as a gift for completing your survey. Of course your ad will be in the free e-book.

Trade other forms of advertising with people who link to your web site. You could trade e-zine ads, print ads, autoresponder ads, classified ads, e-book ads, etc. It doesn't always have to be link for link or e-zine ad for e-zine ad. Just make sure it's a fair trade for you.

Give away web space to people for free. Since you are giving it away for free, request they link to your site by placing your ad or banner to the site. Some day you could have hundreds or thousands of web sites advertising your web site for only the cost of your web space.

Join or create a web ring. A web ring is a group of web sites on a similar subject that have agreed to link together. To find a web ring to join, type the keywords "web rings" into your search engine of choice. Just think, everyone who participates in the web ring is linked to your web site.

How To Get Celebrities To Endorse YOUR Product

How would you like celebrities to endorse your product?

Perhaps that sounds crazy. Well, here's the info...

But before anything else - let me stress that when I say "celebrities", I'm not talking about Tiger Woods or Tom Cruise!

Who I'm talking about is celebrities in YOUR market. People who are very highly thought of and well known in the market you're selling to. People who your target market look up to.

Take this real life example:

An online publisher named Alex was just about to launch an information product revealing psychological sales tactics.

However, even though his product was of the very highest quality, Alex was looking for something "extra" that would increase sales of the product even more.

What Alex wanted to achieve is to boost *credibility* in the sales message presenting the product. So visitors to his site would actually believe what they read, and therefore be a lot more likely to buy.

Now, since the product Alex was selling was revealing sales and marketing tactics, it would of course be purchased by people interested in selling more online.

So who better to give Alex a testimonial than a world famous marketing expert?...

Alex managed to get a testimonial from none other than Joe Sugarman - hugely successful direct marketer and famous for his BluBlocker sun glasses infomercials.

So - how do YOU go about boosting your own sales with testimonials from celebrities?

Well, let me firstly stress that unless you already have a relationship with the person (you know each other), there's a strong chance they won't reply to you. They may, or they may not. So be prepared for that.

Sending them an email is quick, but I get 200+ emails a day at the moment (spam included), and that's on the low end compared to the number of emails some people I know get.

So email may work if you're looking for a testimonial from a celebrity in your market, but don't hold your breath.

How about a phone call? It's worth a chance, but then again the person you're trying to reach may have a secretary, and what are your chances of getting past them with a testimonial request?

Or of course you could always send them a good ole fashioned "snail mail" letter, preferably including a complimentary copy of your product.

Will this work? Well, it will definitely help get their attention. You may want to contact them via email initially asking them for their postal address so you can send them a review copy of the product.

By doing that initially you're sure to get the right address, and it helps put a mental note in the person's mind that they're going to receive a package from you soon.

Or here's an almost fool proof way: why not buy time from them? Especially if they offer consulting already. It doesn't guarantee they'll offer a testimonial, but if your product's great, chances are they will.

So let's say you've got the product in their hands, and they like it. Here's the last step:

Make it as easy as possible for them. The people you contact are very busy, since that's how they got to where they are.

So what you need to do is write the testimonial for them. And once you've done that, send it over saying "I've included a potential testimonial outline for you. If you would be happy to offer a testimonial for the product, please feel free to change this draft testimonial as you would like to."

Now I can't guarantee you'll get testimonials every time you try, especially if you're not well known in the market or don't have a relationship with the person already. But if you don't try, you'll never know. And just one or two celebrity testimonials can make a real positive impact on your sales for the long term.

Increase Sales By Flying Under Your Prospects' "Radar Defenses"

How do you persuade someone to do what you want them to do?

A whole world of marketing exists around us trying to do that every minute of the day. Do you even notice it anymore or, like your prospects, have you subconsciously set up a system of "radar defenses" against the daily bombardment of marketing messages?

Take a minute and count up the advertising methods which fight for your attention (and money) every day. Just the basic list includes:

· Yellow page ads

· Newspaper and magazine ads

· Postcards, catalogs, and direct mail circulars in your "snail mail" box

· Radio pitches interrupting the flow of your favorite songs

· TV ads - about 20 minutes worth per hour now

· Hundreds of storefronts, "mega" malls, and strip malls

· Highway billboards by the thousands

· Circulars hung on your doorknob

· Illegal signs on stop signs and telephone poles

· Legitimate email messages

· Spam email or UCE (unsolicited commercial email)

Just these 11 sources can overwhelm your brain with marketing messages. Like trapped rats, people develop defenses against this never-ending onslaught. They throw up a wall or a "radar defense" that goes into action the minute they smell a "pitch" or a sales job. Don't blame them... We all do it!

So how can you, as an online merchant or affiliate marketer, get around this psychological wall against the constant sales and marketing messages?

Well, the answer does NOT lie in hitting people with more frequent and obnoxious advertising or sly, sneaky tactics. You might get them to trust you for a minute, but it will backfire in the long run.

You must do two things instead:

1. First, you must establish credibility for yourself and your business as an expert in your field or "niche" market.

2. Second, you must reduce your prospect's fears about doing business with you.

Doing these two things will get you past their defenses and allow you the opportunity to persuade them to buy your product.

So how do you accomplish these two "simple" things?

What will win someone's attention, raise your credibility, and lower their fear factor all at the same time? The one-word answer really applies to most everyone.

Trust!

If you, as the marketer, can get behind their defenses with information which makes them trust you, then that credibility will carry over into a sale much of the time.

How can you get this credibility quickly?

Well, take this next fact as online marketing "gospel," for many, many people have proven its effectiveness.

Fact: Publishing and promoting with free articles gives you one of the most powerful opportunities available to tip the buyer's credibility scale in your favor.

How can I prove this works?

Quite easily actually! Take a break from reading this and go check out a newspaper or magazine for a minute.

Which do you trust more, the ads or the articles? Most people will choose the articles hands down. Why? Because the articles don't try to "sell" you anything. Instead, they hand out useful information for educational or other practical purposes.

Most of us grew up in a culture which says we can believe and "trust" what appears in the standard "news" or "information" format. In other words, if it appears in print, then we can believe and trust the author.

So go ahead! Use this lifetime of conditioning to your advantage in selling your products and services!

Very few things will create an atmosphere of trust and confidence in people as reading one of your articles on a subject that greatly interests them. It shows you know your business. It also demonstrates you will do more than just try to "sell" them something.

Publishing articles literally lets you fly under their advertising "radar defenses" by establishing trust and credibility.

So remember these points when deciding whether or not to use articles to promote your business:

1. Few things create as much trust and confidence in the minds of potential customers as reading an article you wrote on a subject which specifically and intensely interests them.

2. Articles establish credibility quickly because, right or wrong, we've all been trained to trust the "news."

3. An article, or series of articles, will differentiate you from the competition, who bombard people with nothing but sales messages and "pitches" while providing little useful content.

4. Providing content-rich, non-sales-oriented articles will also help build and solidify your relationship with existing customers so they give you repeat business... and also help you attract new customers and subscribers who find your approach a refreshing change to what they're used to getting from your competitors!

8 Part Internet Affilaite Marketing Course

Introduction

When I first started working on the Web, I never dreamed I could make the kind of money I'm making today. To be honest, I didn't even intend to. At first, I just wanted a bit of extra cash to supplement my real job and maybe put a little money aside for the future. But what I discovered amazed me! Within just a few short months, my little online business was raking in thousands of dollars every month! I was making more every four months with my Internet marketing programs than I was earning each year sitting in my office making profits for my boss.

As you can imagine, it wasn't long before I decided to ditch the suit and start working for myself full-time. Now, I have a completely automated marketing system set up on the Web. Each week, I spend just a few hours checking that the system is working properly, and the rest of the time I'm cashing the checks and spending the money.

It really is that easy!

But while the money is great, the best thing about working on the Web is the freedom. I'm not just making more money than I ever thought I would earn-unlike my other high-income friends I've actually got the time to enjoy it.

That's a feeling money just can't buy!

Now, I didn't achieve any of this by doing a Ph.D. in programming or by following Bill Gates around for twenty years. When I built my first website all I knew about my computer was how turn it on. Today, I know how to turn it off too. I still know not very much about programming and even less about technology.

The fact is, to make money on the Web all you need is a few simple tools and the will to get up and do it.

It's not about intelligence or education or who you know. It's purely about how much you're prepared to put in the time at the beginning to build the system and keep it running.

With this e-course and your determination, you have everything you need to kick your day job and earn a real income by yourself, at home, on the Web.

Forget everything you've heard before!

In this e-course, I'm not going to give you some airy-fairy theory about what should work if everything clicks the way I think it should. That's the kind of rubbish you can read in any one of a thousand marketing books sitting on the shelves of Barnes and Noble. The fact is I doubt if a single one of those authors has sold anything online except copies of their book on Amazon.

Here's my first piece of advice: don't listen to advice from someone who hasn't been there and done it themselves! This is absolutely crucial. If you look around the Web or in your local bookstore you're going to find a ton of hype about how you can become a millionaire with nothing more than a keyboard and a mouse. There are people out there who will tell you can get rich with no effort, no work and no investment. There are even some who will try to sell you pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick plans and every other kind of scam you can imagine. And people actually buy them. At the first sign of a chance to pick up instant cash, people whip out their wallets and give away their life savings. I'm sure you're smarter than that.

But it's not just the straightforward frauds you have to watch out for. The Internet changes almost every day. Unless someone is actually earning their living on the Web day in, day out, by the time they've finished explaining how to make money on the Internet, chances are, their advice is out of date.

Like I said, I didn't set out to make a fortune on the Web. I just figured it might give me an extra hundred bucks or so a week to make my life a little better. But like any successful businessman, I ditched what didn't work and did more of what did. If I saw something that I thought would bring in extra cash, I put up a website and gave it a try.

The fact that it's so easy to create a Web business was what really did it for me. If I wanted to take advantage of an opportunity, it cost me next to nothing to try and I lost little if it failed.

It wasn't long before I knew exactly how to find the right products and bring them to the right customers.

That's what I'm going to show you in this e-course. I'm not going to give you any strange theories or fancy ideas. I'm just going to tell you exactly what I did-and what I'm still doing!-so that you can do the exact same thing.

Of course, I can't guarantee that you'll have the exact same results as me. Heck, I bet if I were starting from scratch today I'd have different results too. I might even have better results. All I can do is tell you what I did and explain precisely how I did it. My system works for me; I can't think of a single reason why it shouldn't work for you too.
Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?

Before you even turn on your computer though, the first question you have to ask yourself is whether you're cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is building a home-based business isn't for everyone. Some people like the commute. They enjoy having a boss who tells them what to do, and they like the routine of working nine-to-five for a bog-standard salary than can barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think they're nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are concerned about the risk of starting up their own business. They're not sure it's worth the investment of time and money, and they're scared of the responsibility that comes with running their own company. They wonder if there isn't another way to escape the rat race.

I'm sure there is. You could win the lottery or wait for your Aunt Betty to keel over and leave you her condo. Maybe you could sit down with a pen and paper and draw the blueprint for The Next Big Thing. Anything can happen.

For me, what happened was creating a successful, self-running Internet marketing system. It didn't happen without effort. It didn't happen without at least some initial investment of both time and money. And it doesn't happen now without me having to make sure that the taxes are filed and the paperwork done. But it happened. I'm my own boss. I work from home according to my own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my business makes. If you're prepared to give an e-business the time, the work and the money it needs to get started and get growing, it should happen for you too.

The Internet-your business tool

In effect, my system is built on three foundations: the Internet, marketing and the product.

In this book, we are going to look closely at each one of those. In particular, we'll spend a lot of time talking about the marketing because this really is what the Internet does best.

Let's just begin by taking a quick glance at why the Internet is the greatest business opportunity since the railroad.

The Internet actually started in 1969 as the ARPANET, a Defence Department system designed to let survivors share files after a nuclear attack. From a handful of top secret computers, it's grown to fill more than 10 million hosts and millions of domain names.

And it's still growing. According to a recent survey, the volume of Internet traffic is expected to double annually over the next five years. Consumers are expected to account for 60 percent of all Internet traffic over that period with the rest of the market made up of business users.

What does that mean for you?

It means customers-millions of them.

No other business tool can put the products you sell to so many people so easily. Nothing even comes close.

We're talking about a potential market of 340 million people around the world who can buy your products 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you opened a store on your high street, how many people would walk past your window each month? If you live in Manhattan, maybe a few thousand. If you live in Los Olivos, Ca. maybe a few hundred. On the Internet, there's no limit to the number of people you can bring through your store front wherever you live.

That's the power of the Internet. That's why my online business is bringing in between $1,500 and $2,000 every day. I bring in a lot of customers and I shift a lot of goods.

The right product sells itself

In fact, for many of my online businesses, my customers are my goods. When you join an affiliate program, you buy traffic from other sites and pass them onto your partners for a profit. In this e-course you'll learn all about affiliate programs. It'll show you how to build them, how to select your partners and how to turn your traffic into cash.

But traffic is just one kind of product on the Web. Information products are amongst some of the greatest money-spinners currently churning up dollars on the Net. And anyone can create an information product.

Imagine you know how to build a bookcase from scratch. That already makes you a lot more knowledgeable than me-the only thing I know about wood is that it looks great in my fireplace! Maybe one person in a thousand will want to know how to build the kind of bookcase you know how to build. If you're not a well-known carpenter, no publishing company is going to touch you. It's just not worth the marketing. On the Web, one person in a thousand gives you a potential market of 340,000 customers. If you write a book and sell it on the Web for just $10 per copy you could make as much as $3,400,000. All you have to do is tell people what you know-and tell them it's out there. And that costs next to nothing.

The eternal, changing business plan

Of course, it's communication that's the key. The more people you can bring to your websites the more money you're going to make.

You can have the greatest products in the world sold on the most beautifully designed site on the Web, but if no-one knows where it is, you're just going to be wasting the twenty bucks or so you're spending each year on the host.

There are a dozen different ways to bring people to your businesses. This e-course will discuss about the ones that are most effective. I'm sure there are other ways too. I'm sure you'll find people who will tell you that this site is great or that method gave them results. Maybe they're right, and you're welcome to try them. What I can tell you is that I've tried a lot of different methods and these are the ones that worked for me.

That doesn't necessarily mean that they will work for you. If there's one piece of advice regarding online marketing that you learn from this book it's that marketing has to be flexible. Like I said, I tried a dozen different methods. If I hadn't kept a constant watch on how those methods were working, if I hadn't dropped those that weren't worth the effort and repeated my success with those that brought in cash, I'd still be sitting at my desk, wearing a tie and taking orders from my boss.

I'll tell you about the methods that I found consistently effective. If they don't work for your product, give it a little time then switch the methods around.

In lesson 1 of this e-course, I'm going to explain exactly what you have to do to build a website-from selecting a host to mapping the design. Once you've got your site up, you have to bring traffic, and that's what I look at next. I'll reveal the secrets of successful search engine optimization, how to buy advertising that pays, and how to make the most of the millions of affiliate programs that will pay real dollars for users you've never met and never will.

I'll also examine the various kinds of products you can create and sell online, and finally, I'll show you how to put everything together to create a truly integrated business system that brings in real cash, hour after hour, day after day!

Making a fortune on the Web is easy. Simply read this e-course and employ the methods taught. I know it works because I've done it. Whether you choose to do it too, is entirely up to you.

As Easy As Thinking About It

Is making money that difficult?

It seems that the more money I make though, the easier it is to make even more.

Let me try to make you understand this easy concept... make your thoughts become real, faster.

This may sound weird or hard to grasp in the beginning.

Try to stay with me to understand.

What I'm about to say actually has some scientific proof (if not logical arguments) behind it.

Everything that now exists, exists because someone first thought of creating it.

In other words, a person's thought became REAL. This statement comes from the quantum physic explanation.

Take a look outside your house.

See that car?

Yup. Someone thought of that BEFORE it's being created.

Every human's invention was first a thought before it's created.

This is not a new theory, but a concept that have not been fully utilized.

Why can't you do the same thing when it comes to creating wealth for yourself?

All you have to do is have a visualized THOUGHT with a crystal clear picture of what you want to have.

Each time I want to buy something that I know it's possible (Not like a jetplane or something), I'll ask myself...

"How can I get the money I need to buy this?"

When I got the answer, I'll write it down.

Write it down before you lose it. It might turn out to be the 'right' answer for you.

The reason you are rich or not is that you have set up your own barriers to being rich.
Argue as much as you want, but I'm making my stand with that statement.

Basically, you can have the thing you want in life just by 'choosing' to create the thought.

It's not that difficult to learn how to 'choose'.

Make your choice. It's easy. Just say 'yes' to money and then do something. And I promise you that if you do choose to be rich and start making money it will get easier to make money the more money you make.

I guarantee you that trusting yourself and listening to your inner guts feeling, is the fastest and easiest way to creating thoughts that can enrich your life financially.

The best part is, you already have this advantage. You don't have to spend years to acquire it. You posses it.

Start listening to yourself and trust yourself ...you will know the answer.

How To Earn Large Commission Checks

Here are the TOP 5 strategies that work best for affiliate programs...

STRATEGY #1: Send a special message to your customers and subscribers.
Just tell them about my new Special Report! Be sure to mention that they can click the "Gold Key" at your affiliate site to bypass the order form and get the Special Report at zero cost.

Most people will grab the report since it is free. They'll then see the special one-time offer for the Do-It-Yourself Kit. Each time one of your referrals buys the kit, you earn another commission!

Simply sending your subscribers to your affiliate site using the above strategy can bring immediate results and lead to large profits in just a few days. The fact that your customers and subscribers have done business with you in the past, likely means that they have come to trust and respect you. Therefore, an email message recommending a new product, will likely yield many orders.

A short message that alerts them to the new Special Report, in your own words, usually works best. We have had affiliates earn literally thousands of dollars overnight using this strategy.

Note: While this strategy can generate a substantial profit in a few days time, it is not a long-term solution for building your affiliate commissions. Many affiliates are now generating long term commissions with our program so please read on to find out how.

STRATEGY #2: Re-publish my articles!

I have written many articles on starting and growing a business on the Internet. As an affiliate you are allowed to, and encouraged to republish them in your newsletter or at your website. Simply click to http://www.bizweb2000.com/articles.htm and select any of the articles on that page.

When reprinting any article you may replace the link at the bottom of the article with your affiliate link. If someone orders after coming to our site by using the link at the end of the article, you will get the commission for that order.

STRATEGY #3: Link to your affiliate site from your home page.

Do you have your own website yet? If so, you're ahead of the pack! An excellent strategy for earning commissions with this program is to add a direct link to your affiliate site, from your home page.

Another way to link to your affiliate site is to use one of our banners. You will find all the buttons and banners by clicking Get Links at the top of this page.

Don't put them in just one page in your site - instead, you should put up our banner ads or buttons at the top of each and every page in your site. If possible, put one at the top of your home page as well. The home page is generally the page which gets the maximum amount of traffic. By putting it at the top of your home page, you ensure that a large percentage of your visitors can see the banner ads and can click on them to come to our site through your affiliate link.

Many affiliates are already generating reliable monthly commission checks by simply adding banners to their sites. Give it a try and you may be surprised at the results of this passive strategy.

STRATEGY #4: Use Ezine Ads

If you have your own email newsletter you can promote your affiliate links using any unsold ad space. Of course the best results come when you place the ad in the top of your newsletter.

Many affiliates also do well placing paid ads in other ezines which are targeted to Internet business enthusiasts. Solo mailings tend to work even better than ads in the newsletters, so ask if they offer that.

You will find pre-written classified and solo ads at the Get Links area. Or feel free to write your own ads and send them to us for quick approval.

To locate email newsletters where you can advertise, simply search Google.com for email newsletter directories and you'll find some great places to start advertising!

STRATEGY #5: Tell Your Friends!

Yes, even in this modern world of Internet marketing, many affiliates make regular sales simply by word of mouth. Just mention the complimentary Special Report to your friend next time the subject of business or money comes up in conversation. Give them your affiliate link or let them have a peek. Many times that is all it takes to generate another commission.

BONUS "Make Sales Forever" STRATEGY: Put a message into your own autoresponder series!

Many affiliates make 10 - 20 sales every month like clockwork. Here's how they are doing it:
They plug their affiliate link into their existing autoresponder series. If you are not marketing with an autoresponder series, you need to start. You do it by giving away a freebie at your site. When people grab your freebie, they enter their name and email address. Then your system follows up with them every few days, sending them helpful messages and recommending products. You can automate the entire process using a system like my webbusinesswizard.com - it's an automatic money maker.

Section 3 Articles - Internet Videos

1) Create Your Own YouTube Video

In recent years the Internet has grown had a tremendous rate, and is no longer thought of as just a research tool. Now millions of people now use the Internet on a regular basis seeking entertainment. One of the places people go to look for entertainment is Online Video Websites such as YouTube, Google Video, AOL Video and many more.

If you’re not familiar with YouTube , it’s an online video website where visitors can view homemade videos and much, much more, but that isn’t all you can do at the YouTube site.  You’re also allowed to create and share your own video as well if you want to.

Making your own video sounds like a fun idea, right?  Well come on down and join the crowd as there are lot of internet users of all different ages, that have decided to create and share their own videos.  A lot of these videos are used to share information with others, or perhaps showcase a favorite scene from a favorite television shows, express their beliefs, or just make a funny video.

If you want to make your own video, for whatever reason, you will need to start thinking about ideas for your video. Many people create comedy videos or how-to-videos. The first step to making your video will be to decide what video recording device you are going to use.  Generally these choices will include camcorders, webcams, cell phones or maybe even a digital camera if it has a recording option.

As we mentioned before the video can be just about anything you want, but you need to keep in mind that your video could be seen by thousands of people so make sure your video will be appropriate. You also need to read the rules and restrictions that are posted on most online video sites, so you can be sure you’re not violating any rules. Most will not allow pornographic, hate, terror threats or any other kind of video that may be harmful or offensive to someone.

Once you’re video is ready to be uploaded be sure to read up on how it’s done.  It can vary a bit with each site, but if you’re uploading a video for YouTube, you can relax and worry about other things. You’ll find the uploading process, used by YouTube, is probably one of the about the easiest one that you will find.

YouTube does have some video size restrictions; so keep this in mind when making your video.  At this time YouTube requires that your video be no longer than 10 minutes in length.  Your videos also must be less than 100MB, in size.  While they do have some other rules in their terms of use agreement, there are no other restrictions and you can create as many videos as you want.

To post your video on YouTube, you will need to have your video saved in a movie format. This can be done with any moving making software program.  Most computers already have a Movie Making Software installed on it these days, so you don’t have to worry about purchasing software.

2) Ideas For Your First Online Video

Online video websites have become one of the hottest things on the Internet and as a result new online video sites are springing up everyday. If by some chance you don’t know what these online video sites offer; these online video sites allow people to make their own videos, then upload them, so they can be shared with others.  When you take into consideration that there are millions of internet users browsing through online video websites, the chances are very good that you could make a video and have it seen by thousands of people all over the world!

Since making a video is not something everyone does everyday, some people are not quite sure how to do it or what they should make a video on.  Most of the videos on these video sharing sites are homemade videos so it can basically be on anything you want. However you need to familiarize yourself with the terms posted at the online video site where you want to upload your video. Most online video websites will not allow videos that are pornographic, racist, making threats to someone or anything else that may harmful to someone.

One thing that you may want to consider for your video is to do a comedy skit of some sort, as people always like a good laugh. Another popular type of video could be a how-to-video.  You may surprise yourself about what you know how to do, that others may not know.  You should keep your videos short, about 5-10 minutes

For example you could do a video on how to make a certain food dish that’s quick and easy or perhaps how to decorate for party quickly.  By starting out with a how-to video you’ll find it’s a excellent way to get started making online videos, and you will also be providing the viewers with something to watch that is actually useful to them.

As we mentioned earlier, a comedy skit could also be a great idea to try for your first online video.  Your comedy skit doesn’t have to be anything elaborate, it could just be you telling some good jokes or performing clown acts. Be sure to follow the rules posted at the website for what’s acceptable and what isn’t or you’re likely to find your video deleted and they will probably ban you as well.

Once you have mastered your video making techniques, you may want to move on to other video themes.  You can also often pickup some good subject matters by carrying your camcorder around with you, you never know what may happen that you could catch on video.  Often a lot of the most popular videos found online aren’t really of anything in particular.  Many times these videos were just something someone just happened to have witnessed at the right time, at the right place, and had their camcorder with them.

3) So You Want To Make Your Own Online Video for Google

If you’ve been wanting to join in on the ever-growing popularity of Online Video Sites, but didn’t know how to get started, then this article is for you. Most of the videos available on these video sites are homemade, so you don’t have to be a professional to create your own video.

If you’ve been watching the news or are an avid Internet user, you know Google Video is one of the most popular online video websites, along sideYouTube. The videos you find at Google Video will usually include popular television shows, sports recaps, celebrity interviews, music videos, and of course the homemade videos.  Many people frequently visit Google Video because they can watch free videos, as well as purchase popular videos, often for less than $2.00.

While the majority of Internet users who visit Google Video, do so to watch fun and entertaining videos, not everyone does. There is also a lot of people who head to Google Video’s online website to look for more information on the features that allows them to create, upload, and share their own videos.  If you’ve been wanting to learn how to create your own video, you can easily get more information at http://video.google.com/. That link will take you directly to Google Video’s main page and if you use this link http://video.google.com/support/ you’ll find all the information you need to learn how to make and upload your own homemade video to their site.

Of course you will need to first create your video before you can upload it to Google Video, as well as any other online video websites. So you are going to need some type of recording device to make your video. In general the best recording device to choose would be a camcorder.  Camcorders are great because you can make a video just about anywhere and anytime you want.

However not everyone can afford to buy a Camcorder or have access to one, so another good choice would be your webcam. The drawback to that is you will need to make the video near your computer.  These days many cell phones and digital cameras have video recording capabilities as well, but the recordings tend to be short and may not have sound.  So you just have to find the equipment that works best for you.

Once you’ve got your video created you’ll next need to get it onto your computer.
Most computers today will have some kind of movie making software already installed on it. For example Windows Movie Maker is available on most computers that use the Windows OS.  If you want to make edits to your video, you should be able to, just depending on the type of moving making software program your computer has on it. Be sure to save your movies, as one of the most common movie formats, such as .MPG, .AVI,  or .MOV.

4) Use Caution When Making Your Own Online Videos

With popularity of online video sites growing rapidly, it is also creating a breeding ground for online predators searching for innocent victims. When you make your own online video and upload it to sites such as YouTube or Google Video (just to name a few) it has the potential to viewed by thousands of people all over the world! While that may sound very cool, it also comes with risks.

If you’re thinking of becoming a part of this popular trend, there are some important things that you need to keep in mind.  One of those important things is your safety.   Many people like to create personal videos, and some Internet users innocently provide information about themselves or may inadvertently mention it while telling a funny story. While this may make for an interesting video, for safety reasons, you need to be careful as to what you are recording and sharing with other online viewers.

One of the reasons these online video sites are so popular is that you can create a video on just about anything you want.  However most of the popular video websites will have rules and restrictions on the content that is allowed, and with good reason.  These rules and restrictions will normally prohibit videos that contain threats or pornographic materials.  However even with these restrictions in place, there are still a wide variety of different videos that you can create, but just use good judgment and take precautions when doing so.

Since you have no idea who will be watching your video, you also have no idea what kind of person they are or if they are mentally disturbed.  When creating your online video, think about how much information you would give out when talking to a stranger as it amounts to the same thing.

If decide to make a homemade video with a personal touch, more than likely your face will be the center of the video.  While it’s usually fine to show your own face, it’s a whole different story to provide your personal information as well.  If you feel you need to introduce yourself, you should use your first name only or even use a pen name.

You also never give your address, and that includes your city and state. If certain people with motive and means, should view your online video, they could easily obtain your full address just by knowing the city or the state in which you live in.  This also would apply to your phone number, as they could also locate you with that information.

Even with the risks we’ve mentioned with including personal information there are still some who will do it. Normally they do it because they are looking for someone to date or be friends with. If you are looking to meet someone online this should be done on online dating sites as most of them will have security measures in place to help keep you safe.

If you keep these safety points in mind, you should be able to use and enjoy online video websites without any problems.

5) What Kind of Videos Can be Found at YouTube?

One of the most popular online video sites is YouTube.  So if you are looking for an online video website for entertainment, YouTube is a great choice.  You will find thousands of videos available at YouTube and most of them can be viewed at no charge.

If you aren’t familiar with the YouTube website, you may be curious as to what type of videos they have to offer.  As with the vast majority of online video sites you’ll find that most of the videos are of the homemade variety.  The reason for this is because these movies are made by your everyday internet users.  We all have different experiences in our lives so you are sure to find a wide variety of videos available to choose from on YouTube.

The YouTube site does it’s best to make finding the video you want easy.  When you’re on their site you’ll notice they have divided the videos into categories.  These categories help to make it easy to find online videos by examining the ones that have been viewed the most, ones that are rated the highest, or those that have the most comments. You’ll also find other categories that further breakdown the video selections into specific subject categories, based on the content of the video.

Everyone likes a good laugh, which is probably why the comedy category, is the most popular category on YouTube.  Comedy is always a good choice because most people visit online video websites looking for entertainment.  What better way to be entertained than with an online video that gets you laughing so hard you almost fall off your chair!

The Pets category is another popular choice, as people do love their pets. You’ll find a wide variety of different animals featured in videos on YouTube, including cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, and birds, just to name a few.  Often these videos can also be considered of the comedy variety because many of the videos will feature animals that have not only special talents but funny talents as well.

We certainly can’t forget the travel category either as that is another big part of our lives. The “travel and places” videos will often include videos that vacationers have captured while they were in another country.  While locations outside of the USA are quite popular, you’ll also find videos that focus on different places in the USA as well.

Then of course there is the entertainment category on YouTube.   A lot of people have created videos that they think are a good source of entertainment. It’s also quite common to find a collection of scenes, accompanied by music, of popular TV shows, soap operas, and also movies.

There is also a music section, which is a great place for those who are documenting themselves or perhaps their friends singing or participating in singing competitions.  YouTube even has a special program for up and coming musicians.  This popular feature allows musicians to create their own music videos and share them with other Internet users. Those looking for entertainment will get to see an entertaining online video for free, but it also helps you become aware of a new band, that you otherwise you may never have heard of.

The categories we’ve discussed here just a few of the many that you can found at the YouTube website. They also have other categories such as arts and animation, vehicles, news, blogs, people, sports, and science and technology.  With so much variety to choose from you’re sure to find something you like.
