Welcome to TPHA. I'm not sure if anyone's answered you directly, already, but I thought I'd send you a quick note. Hopefully, it's not too repetitive from what others have told you. :-)
We're pretty laid back in the association and, really, welcome everyone to get involved. This can be, depending on your time, anywhere from helping to promote the association at membership drives or student orientations or booths at other conferences... to selling raffle tickets or bringing a silent auction item as a donation at the next annual conference- Which, BTW, is in South Padre! So- Go , Go , Go! It will be a blast!
Anyway- we also have committees ( I think they're listed on the website) and we really always need great volunteers for those.
Finally, we just need you to share with us any ideas you may have and simply participate in our activities- such as this blog, or in surveys we may send out, or attending workshops or conferences. Getting informed about the issues and staying in touch through networking with other professionals in the association are great ways to further our mission and goals.
