Nutrition Policy Associate
Center for Science in the Public Interest (in Washington,
DC)
to promote and support federal, state and local obesity and nutrition
policies.
In this full-time position, the nutrition
policy associate will advocate strong nutrition promotion and obesity prevention
policies, programs, and funding through national, state and local lobbying,
grassroots organizing, and coalition building. Key to this position
is the ability to persuasively present the facts to policy makers and consumers.
The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills with
the ability to conduct policy research and draft reports, correspondence,
fact sheets and website materials, as well as strong public speaking ability.
Ideal candidates will hold an advanced degree
(MS, MPH, MPP) in health, policy, or nutrition or a BS degree in one of
these areas plus 5 years of professional policy experience. Please
