Volunteers Are Vitally Important to Our Team                                                         

Skagit Hospice volunteers are an invaluable part of our interdisciplinary team. They are the individuals who come from all walks of life, who give so generously their time, their talent, and their heart.

Patient Care Volunteers

Work with patients in their homes. They provide comfort to the terminally ill on a very personal level. This includes reading to patients, writing letters, preforming errands, and most importantly providing that non-judgmental listening ear as the patient travels on the journey through their terminal illness.

Therapy Volunteers

Are you a licensed therapist?  We welcome your generous contribution that provides terminally ill patients with the opportunity to use proven pain management techniques that will ensure that their pain is managed.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers who prefer not to work directly with patients can make a positive contribution to hospice by helping with the multitude of office tasks and by helping with the reorganization of the rapidly growing Hospice Resource Center. Your help frees up the time of staff to conduct more direct patient care.

Volunteers are always needed to assist with educational events, activities, and fundraisers throughout the year. Come and join us in the rewarding and fun work of bringing events together that provide proceeds that allows the people in our community to spend their finals days in comfort and dignity.
