Programs
Matting and Framing Demonstration, Saturday, September 27, starting at 2 PM in the Bromley Room.  Are you planning to bring in your artwork for the Library's annual "Hang-it-All" art show in November?  Would you like to learn more about matting and framing in preparation for that show?  Members of the Library Art Committee, all accomplished and experienced artists themselves, will demonstrate techniques to mat and frame  your art.  No fees, equipment or supplies needed.  Just come and learn!

Saturday, October 18, 2 p.m., "Changing Perspectives on Oregon Geology", an Oregon Council for the Humanities Chautauqua program, will feature Janet Brown of Bend, Oregon.  This program will be held in the Library's large public meeting room, the Bromley Room, and is free and open to the public.

Genealogy 101 Class, Tuesday, October 21, 5pm.  Reference Librarian and genealolgist Kevin Mittge will present another one of his excellent introductory classes for people interested in learning how to research family history using resources available at the Siuslaw Public Library, both on-line and in print.  This class is free, no registration or pre-requisites, and will be held in the Bromley Room.

Don't forget Storytimes!
Tuesdays and Fridays, at 10:30 AM, year-round, the library's Youth Services department presents storytimes for preschoolers and their families.  With songs, fingerplays, crafts, and of course, wonderful books selected especially for the preschool age, Storytime is a great way to spend a morning.  Visitors are always welcome, so bring the grandkids when they are in town.

School is back in session and so is early release Teen Gaming.

Every Thursday afternoon (early release day) in the Bromley Room, Wii and other electronic gaming is available.  New items this year include Rock Band, with drums and guitars for the Wii.
