Building Expansion News
Almost Done
Construction work on the $1.7 million expansion and renovation of the Siuslaw Public Library District main branch is nearing completion. The expected date when work is to be finished is September 25. Additional shelving and furnishings will not be in place until November but construction is almost complete. Funding for the project came from a combination of private donations, grants, bequests, and Urban Renewal funds, but no bonds or tax levies were involved.
Remember, additional parking is available at Siuslaw Valley Christian Center located at 9th and Maple, as well as parking on side streets.
