HEADING HOME!
The snowshoe kittens are home!!
Penny went home and believe it or not the lovely woman who adopted Penny's son, Copper, couldn't stand breaking up the family so came back for Penny! We hope they'll all be very happy together! Sweet Libby went home to a housefull of love! Her new "mom" was so happy when we approved her to adopt Libby that she burst into tears! Libby will be joined by a six month old Labrador sibling, a beautiful calico sister and two human siblings as well. We think she'll find plenty to keep her busy, don't you?
COPPER

is now at home with her new mom and loving her new life!
Martha is a city girl now, living in NYC with her adoring new mom and her two brothers (also adopted from us 2 years ago, Mischief and Mayhem) now called Missy and Maymay! We wish you all many years of happiness together!
was adopted and is now happily settled in and busily being spoiled!
Luke has been adopted! Good luck Luke.
Felix and Oscar were adopted by their foster family who fell head over heels in love with these two fellows!
new photo! Sushi will be going home to her new parents just as soon as she is old enough at 12-14 weeks!
Sabrina went to her new home and has already met and made friends with her new sibling of the furry type!
Baxter went home today with his new family and has several siblings both feline and canine waiting to welcome him into his new family home. We're sure Baxter will have plenty to say about this in the near future.
Romeo has been adopted!
Serina went home with her new mom tonight and we wish them both many years of happiness and joy!
Geisha and Kassie both went home with a lovely lady who now has the best of both worlds! She's got Kassie, the quintessential lap cat to snuggle with her and Geisha; our frightened, shy girl with whom she can take her time to bring around until Geisha is willing to trust again! A great combination, we think!
Sabrina left to go home with her new mom and is just delighted with her choice!
GwaiGwai After almost 15 months in our care, Gwai Gwai has finally found his furrrever home. Our deepest thanks go to his foster mom. Jen A., who worked with him for months to get him to stop his biting habits and teaching him anger management for Meezers! Ohl and most importantly, she taught him the words "good boys get TREATS"....
Clement, an adorable blue point guy who's photo never even made it up to the website was adopted. Clement did not use the long ride home to take a nap, instead he shredded his cardboard carrier and its contents and then decided it was HIS turn to drive! CLEMENT!! It's never helpful to lie on the dashboard, blocking the driver's view while trying to take over the steering wheel with your paws! Sorry Clement but we had to fail you in Driver's Ed. 101 for Meezers!
Bonnie, our beautiful chocolate Lynx girl. found a home this weekend and went home with a new sibling. Bonnie's adopter also took Hannah home with her so Bonnie would have some company and Hannah would have a real home furever. We wish this new blended family all the love and fun that being owned by not one but two beautiful Meezer girls can bring!
After fifteen long months, TJ has finally found a place to call his own! Ironically, he was adopted right back into Brooklyn... which is where we found him all those months ago! T.J. has a brand new dad and a sister too and we wish them all many years of happiness and love. We're proud of you T.J. Keep up the good behavior and let them just love you furever!

Well, after turning down two adopters who'd come specifically for him and completely ignoring their presence; Jinks surprised everyone yesterday by suddenly becoming an outrageous flirt, batting his baby blues, rolling over to have his tummy rubbed and claiming the lap of an adopter who was considering B.B.! Luckily for Jinks the adopter knew she'd been chosen and had the good sense to just take that boy home and love him. We know they will both be happy for a long time to come! There's just no predicting a Meezer on a mission!

Well, much to our surprise, when Teva was picked up from his family's home the boy we'd been sure was a sealpoint from his photo, ended up being a gorgous chocolate point! So... no more posing cats on orange comforters! His points did not matter to his new family though and from all reports Teva settled right in, made himself at home and is already sleeping in a heap with his kids. We're so happy for everyone involved.
Damien in foster home #1
Damien one hour after arriving in Foster home #2, making himself right at home! Well things always work out the way our Meezers want them to! Seems the lady who came to adopt Jinks ended up adopting Damien instead! Never a dull moment in rescue and when it's Meezers and adopters you just never know what will happen. Congratulations to Damien's new mom and sibling.
Morgan, our hunky boy has found himself a new mom! He has gone home to live with his new brother, a green cheeked conure named Pretty Boy FLoyd!
Victor has gone home to his new family and is now named Amos. He has a mom and dad, two young ladies to play with and an older kitty. Delilah, and a Schnauzer doggie to play with! Best of all, He is loved and that is most important of all. Good Luck Amos!
After almost one year in rescue, Mia has been adopted. Congratulations to Mia and her family.
Rudy is adopted!
Snickers is adopted
Winston is adopted!
Jinx is adopted!!
Beauty ADOPTED Beauty has gone to a wonderful, loving home in NJ where she will be loved, pampered and adored (we tried to get them to adopt us too but they just wouldn^t fall for it!).
Special adoptions happen when a rescue cat becomes so ill that his foster parents and vet feel the Meezer just will not make it through the night. Every once in a while they "fool" us and beat the odds, many times they do not. Rescue cats normally have very little reserve to fall back on unless they^ve been in foster care for quite a while, eating well and adjusting to all the changes. It used to be that those photos and bios just disappeared from our pages and later the name of the animal would go on our Memorial page, but we;ve always felt a bit disrespectful in doing things that way. It dishonors the memory of the animal who crossed and the foster who loved them. So it is with great sorrow that we list our newest adoption. Sawyer - adopted May 2, 2003. by Christine, Allie, Paula and Jim Logan. He couldn't have wished for a more loving family, not in his wildest dreams.
Diamond wasn't even with us long enough to have his photograph taken before he left to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Diamond was a rail thin, shelter stray when he arrived and unfortunately he had nothing to fall back on when he contracted a shelter URI. Adopted by Metro Directors and loved by his foster who fought as hard as she could for him, he left us knowing the feeling of being loved at least once in his life.
