The Safe Haven Project, a non-profit service learning organization, confronts the global need for knowledge, truth and compassion for people living with or affected by, HIV/AIDS by designing and delivering multi-faceted service forums and unique learning opportunities focused on prevention, awareness and community outreach.
In addition, Safe Haven provides educational opportunities to the greater community of young people, encouraging them to realize the power of the individual to create profound and lasting change in the world around them.

SPEAKOUT TRAVELS TO ST. CROIX
Safe Haven is pleased to announce that Jermaine Lee and Chelsea Gulden will travel to St Croix, Virgin Islands for our first community presentations to those communities. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to assist in opening the hearts and minds in this part of the world.

Mr. Jermaine Nakia Lee is a program director and counselor for youth in various outreach and camp settings. He has infused the performing arts in his message around behavior choices particularly related to HIV prevention. He develops programs for youth infected with HIV/AIDS and has successfully directed outreach camps for over five years. Mr. Lee holds a degree in Music Education with continuing education in Arts Administration. He is a Certified Master Teaching Artist with NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center an affiliate of the National Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Additionally, Mr. Lee is a Certified HIV/AIDS Behavioral Intervention Specialist with Center for Disease Control & Prevention.
Chelsea Gulden is a renowned speaker who has traveled the US and Africa presenting on current HIV information. She has spearheaded many community initiatives and project to assist communities as they address issues surrounding not only the pathology of HIV but also the stigma and prejudice often associated with this virus.
On May 28th Jermaine and Chelsea will be traveling to St Croix on behalf of Safe Haven. He and Chelsea Gulden will be conducting presentations and workshops to local high schools and the community at-large.
