A professional artist from Studio in a School helped the RNH teachers build an arts-rich environment for their students.
The children worked with diverse materials--from paints to clay to papier mache--for their art projects!
At the end of the program in June 2008, the children celebrated their creative accomplishments at their very own art exhibit in the Dodge Building. The children showed their artwork to their families, and Kathy, the Studio in a School teacher, spoke about some of the techniques they had learned.
RNH is continually looking for new ways to strengthen and enhance our programs and help the children and youth we serve to grow intellectually, creatively and socially. By incorporating new enrichment projects into our already-strong programs, we provide opportunities for young people of diverse backgrounds to become involved in the arts. We hope there are others whose generosity will make it possible to invite Studio in a School to return to RNH next year!
