Community Pantry is now the COMMUNITY FOOD BANK OF SAN BENITO COUNTY. We distribute food to local agencies in our community as well as directly through bags of food. We also help through nutritional education and advocacy.
When Community Pantry began, we were able to serve 35 families. 19 years later, we serve near 1,700 bags of food weekly to more than 5,000 people which means we provide the ability to serve 90,000 meals per month. We can accomplish this through support from community donations, grants and volunteers.
Currently we are spending about 8 cents of each dollar we receive on overhead. that means we are putting 92 cents of every dollar into feeding those less fortunate in our community.

Pat's Place
To further help the community our new Thrift Shop will open to the public July 1st. It's located at 101 Fifth St. Currently the store will be open Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Donations of clean and usable items will be gratefully accepted. Call 637-5500 for details.
