Our Unique TBS Shabbat Experience
Part of our approach to Shabbat is to have engaging programming throughout the 25 hours of Shabbat each week. From welcoming the "Sabbath Queen" to ending with a moving Havdallah.
Temple Beth Shalom offers it's members many ways to celebrate and enjoy the entire range of Shabbat. Join us for our family friendly musical Shabbat Friday evening service or sign up to host or be a guest at one of our Shalom Table Experiences in which our members host Shabbats on special themes facilitated by our specially trained "Shabbat Animator" who help to make Shabbat come alive at home. Saturday morning is where you will find our traditional morning minyan and on select days, our Shavua Tov afternoon programs lead by our Education Director Rabbi Arielle Hanien featuring "Limud" style learnings, involving our Torah school families and congregation, which includes a seudah shelishit (3rd meal) and ends with Rabbi Gartenbergs famous "Blue Flame" Havdallah.
Temple Beth Shalom teems with activity as we mark the rhythms of the Jewish year. We offer beautiful and participatory High Holiday services, a festive outdoor Sukkah dinner, freilich (lively) Simchat Torah and Purim celebrations, unique seders for Tu Bishvat and Passover, and a lovely services for all the major festivals.
Temple Beth Shalom will be offering a comprehensive adult education program including the the new Living the Jewish Year Program, Learners' Minyans, and a teen learning program.Temple Beth Shalom will also be developing a strong Tikun Olam-social action program in the coming years.
