I. Volunteer
The Temple has many "Fun"draisers throughout the year. Temple Beth Shalom has a history of some fabulous "Fun"draisers. Each year, these fundraisers help to defray the cost of running a full-service Temple. Our Shul’s Sisterhood offers a variety of activities that will bring “sisterhood”
and a deeper connection to our synagogue family.
B. Hesed Society
Reaching Out to Our Community. The Hesed Society gives us the opportunity to
fulfill the mitzvot of Bikkur Cholim (visiting the sick), Nihum Avelim (comforting
the bereaved), Hachnasat Orchim (welcoming guests), and Gemilut Hasadim
(acts of loving kindness to those in need).
C. Torah School
We can use volunteer assistance in many capacities at our school. For information
about what projects are needed, please contact John Williams, Education
Vice-President, or Rabbi Arielle Hanien, our Education Director, thru the
Temple Office at (562) 426-6413, and at education at tbslb.org.
D. Religious Life
Volunteer to participate in services including reading Torah, Haftorah, etc. Contact the Rabbi for more information.
E. Leadership
Our Board of Directors several open spots, and each board committee will always welcome additional support and volunteers.
