The Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter invites you to be part of their annual “Backpacks for Back to School”. Last year, our goal was to help 925 children. Because of the overwhelming support of our community, we were able to provide more than 1,600 children with new backpacks, filled with supplies and wishes for a productive and successful school year!
Last year, we realized this program had literally outgrown the Soup Kitchen location. So this year, we are happy to report that our “Backpacks for Back to School” program will partner with the Ledge Street Elementary School and everything (dropping off, sorting, stuffing & distribution) will be located in their GYM.
For 2008, our goal is to try and match what we did in 2007!
Our new location is: Ledge Street Elementary School Gym (If you are heading north on Rt 3, take exit 5A—Simon Street—the school will be on your left after the stop sign, after you crest the hill)
Supply Drop Off Times at the GYM:
Schedule Change: Due to changes in the Ledge Street School schedule we cannot access the gym after 2:30 PM. If you are scheduled to volunteer or plan to drop off supplies, please do it from 9 - 2:30. If you have questions, please call the office at 889-7770. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience.
