The 4th Annual Education Symposium
and Luncheon
"The Essence of Wellness"
took place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008
at Rossetti Education Center at Madison-Oneida BOCES
Keynote Speaker Dr. Robert Phillips, from the Center
of Coping presented Coping with Chronic Illness:
Bringing Wellness to Illness Dr. Phillips, an internationally
renowned psychologist and author spoke on the things
you can do to cope with your illness, and taught
some very effective coping strategies to help you
live well despite your illness
Dr. Raquel Rosen, Bassett Healthcare Nephrologist
spoke on Empowering Patients
Mary Wallingford, LMT doing complimentary massages
The Exhibit Booths, Goodie Bags, Massages, Paraffin
Hand Waxing, Blood Pressure checks, Information on
Nutrition, Skin & Hair, Lupus Research Trials,
Prescription Assistance Information, and Empowerment
Tools were enjoyed by the 121 attendees.
