On May 25th, 27 trees were planted alongside the 13th Avenue School in Newark^s Fairmount neighborhood during our Newark kickoff ceremony. Thanks to the muscle of the fabulous NJ Community Forestry staff, and the Newark Youth Corps, the B&B trees were prepared for 3rd & 4th graders to fill in with soil and properly mulch. Willow Oaks were planted in front of the school on 13th Avenue while Callery pears were planted on South 9th Street.
