Interested in Volunteering with the NJ Tree Foundation in Camden?
Each year, hundreds of volunteers join forces with Camden residents and the New Jersey Tree Foundation to dig holes, plant trees, lay mulch, and have fun at UARP planting events. Why not add your name to the list? To be added to the schedule above, contact Jessica at 856.287.4488 or email at
jfranzini.njtf@gmail.com.
All tree planting events are held rain or shine. Volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 9am, though you can come as early as 8:15 am to help set up for the event. Plantings are typically finished by noon, some even earlier; it all depends on the number of trees we are planting that day and the amount of volunteer help we get to plant the trees!
Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
Tools, gloves, water, and planting instruction are provided by the NJ Tree Foundation staff.
We look forward to seeing you this season!
For detailed information about our September 2009 TreeKeepers Workshop series, offered free to all Camden residents, please contact Jessica Franzini. Four sessions will be held in Camden throughout September to train residents in proper tree care techniques. Attend workshops and get free tools! Attend all four and become a Camden Certified TreeKeeper! Children 4+ welcome for our Jr. TreeKeepers Workshops!
