Welcome to the North Carolina Afterschool Coalition website.  I am pleased and honored to serve as this year's president.  As the leading voice of the afterschool profession in North Carolina, we are dedicated to the development, eduction, and care of children duing their out-of-school hours.

 

NCASC is a stong organization that has operated in our state since the early '90's.  We are strong because of NCASC's dedicated Board and Conference Planning members who volunteer, serving without compensation.  Not only am I proud of these hardworking individuals, but I am equally proud to serve as President of our general membership who work in the school-age care field each day to provide excellent care to children and youth across the state.

 

It is our obligation and mission as providers and advocates of out-of-school time programming or care to support and promote high quality programs for children across North Carolina.  So, as you browse our website, please take some time to think about ways you can become involved in this organiztion and make a difference that will impact your county and other counties in North Carolina as well.
