The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services Board of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, U.S.A., is the project leader, and directs the implementation of project activities. The Board develops, funds, and monitors a network of 45 agencies that operate more than 100 targeted treatment and prevention programs. Recovery Resources, a certified provider of both mental health and substance use treatment services, provides case management services. Mental Health Services for Homeless Persons, Inc. (MHS) is an experienced provider of homeless outreach, shelter, treatment, and supportive services, and an Ohio-certified community mental health center. The Institute for Health and Social Policy of the University of Akron conducts the project evaluation.

Russell S. Kaye, Ph.D., M.B.A. is Executive Director of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services Board of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, U.S.A. This Board is the project's applicant, grantee, and lead partner. The Board has considerable experience in the successful execution of important SAMHSA projects.

Beth Pfohl

Beth Pfohl is Grants Officer for this and other projects of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services Board of Cuyahoga County. She skillfully led the grant application workgroups, and played a lead role in writing the grant application.

Steven M. Friedman, Ph.D., Executive Director of MHS.

Steven M. Friedman, Ph.D. is Executive Director of MHS, the agency that operates the Community Women's Shelter, the site of the project's activities. Dr. Friedman played an important role in the selection of the intervention protocol, and the writing of the grant application.

Suellen Saunders is Program Manager of the Community Women's Shelter.

Suellen Saunders, is Program Manager of the MHS Community Women's Shelter. She works with Cynthia Chaytor to coordinate project's activities so that Shelter clients achieve housing and recovery.

Charlotte Rerko, L.I.S.W., supervises the project's case managers.

Charlotte Rerko, L.I.S.W., is Director of Behavioral Health Programs at Recovery Resources. She supervises the project's two case managers.

Richard Stevens, Ph.D. leads the project evaluation.

Richard Stephens, Ph.D., leads the project evaluation. The project must routinely submit client and service data to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Dr. Stephens is the founder and Director of the Institute for Health and Social Policy at the University of Akron. He is the author of more than 60 published research articles in the field of drug and alcohol abuse research. As a past and current evaluator on SAMHSA-funded projects of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services Board of Cuyahoga County, Dr. Stephens has led team of interviewers who collected follow-up data on more than 90% of individuals who had completed treatment in SAMHSA-funded projects.
