Hi Kelly,

Diagnosed with DCIS foci in a lesion of atypia (found with my first MRI), I'm in my 51, also had a few LCIS. Have the brca gene as well. Had lumpectomy and re-excision last fall with good margins. dcis was 2mm in size. Now proceeding with daVinci BSO/hyst at the end of the month to reduce ovarian ca risk (brca women are at very high risk for this type of ca) as well as get estrogen and progesterone under control for breast protection. Lesion of dcis was too small for radiation. Considering SERMS or AI's for further protection/possibly bilateral mastectomies due to high risk. Stacey
