Dear Educator:
We are writing to advise you that the McGinty Family Foundation has found it necessary to temporarily suspend grant activity, effective immediately. The decline in market values of our asset base has simply made it imprudent to continue distributing funds until we experience sufficient recovery.
While the reasons related to the current economic and investment climate have affected everyone in our community, they are especially painful to all of us involved with our family’s foundation For the past twenty years, we have been honored to distribute grants to over four hundred schools and organizations involved in primary and secondary education activities here in Northeast Ohio.
It is our sincere hope that overall economic improvement will enable us to resume our mission at some time in the next year. Please check our website for updates on our grant making activities. In the meantime, please accept our thanks for everything you have done to make this foundation work a satisfying experience for our entire family.
