On Saturday, October 10, at Trinity Cathedral from 9am - 3:30pm, LEAP is sponsoring a special and unique opportunity for people to discuss the full inclusion of persons with disabilities within local faith communities. This event will feature a multi-faith worship lead by persons with disabilities, Verlezza Dance (with dancers of all ages and disabilities), and the St. Augustine Deaf Choir.
This event features workshops that include: disability awareness, creating a physically accessible environment, assistive technology, building inclusive communities, and disability & spitiuality.
We are pleased to have Rev. Dr. Valentino Lassiter as our keynote speaker. Rev. Lassiter is a teacher, minister, and author as well as a person with epilelpsy. He serves as Senior Pastor at Eastview United Chirch of Christ.
The cost will be $10 and a lunch will be provided. Scholarship assistance is available for persons with disabilities and their attendants. Please register today so you can be included in this incredible opportunity. Registration deadline is October 2. See the
Registration Form for all the details, and call Deborah Nebel or Donna Prease for more information at 216-696-2716.
