The Lamp Art Project is served by Lamp Community in that it is founded and financially supported by Lamp Community.
Furthermore, artists come independently into the Art Project, simply encountering the studio site on the street, and then, joining in. However they then can receive help, through Lamp Community, in accessing badly needed housing, medical, and psychiatric medical services, which are critical to sustaining life for the artist.
Conversely, the Art Project serves Lamp Community. First, the Art Project offers to residents of the Lamp Community, a place to be nurtured in the dynamic of creativity. (The come and create art).
