
* Although, there is much ignorance on this phenomenon today, most Old Master AND Modernist Painters worked from previous Master's Works as, at least, part of their methodology. To see an example of this critical modality, there is a link below, to Van Gogh's rendition of Eugene Delacroix's "The Good Samaritan". It was not simply a learning method, but a painting made at the most rarefied, advanced, point, in Van Gogh's career.
