February 26 2003. "Women of Eden Series". Of the group of graphite drawings Darlene rendered in February, the image, below, was selected.
Next, it was digitally reversed from a dark line drawing on a white ground to white lines on a dark ground. Furthermore, the pigments where changed from that of graphite to a spectrum of reds and umbers using Adobe Photoshop. Impressions were made on archival matte paper with the studio's Epson 2200 printer. Saturated black areas in the print approach the textural qualities of a mezzotint.
