Some of Darlene's new "Inner-cityscape" Series... including "5th and Los Angeles", above
Below : Darlene's oil on canvas, "Seventh & Stanford", (Bicyclist & New Terminal Hotel), captures the cityscape which she directly views from outside the art project door, at the very spot she takes her cigarette breaks.
The New Terminal Hotel is in the right midground beyond the bicyclist, br>Stanford Street, upon which Darlene lives, is in the background. The far background reveals 7th street stretching like converging train tracks from Skid Row into downtown.
Below : Darlene's "Crocker and Fifth", completed January, 30, 2003.
Directly below : Magdalena Astrid Dahlen's hand, brush, and eye. Depicted is the painting she accomplished, "Saskya", directly before beginning the bold "Wanda" (top of this page).
BELOW : Four photos of Ed Christiansen as he moved out of the King Edward Hotel with his assemblages and paintings.
