ED CHRISTIANSEN IS ARGUABLY ONE OF THE SINGLE MOST PROLIFIC CREATIVE ARTISTS TO HAVE EVER MIGRATED TO LOS ANGELES. He began with the project while living in the emotionally and physically severe environment of the L.A. Winter Cold Weather Shelter. He created over 500 large paintings within a year. Last seen, he was "holed up" in his more recent digs at the King Edward Hotel on 5th and Los Angeles creating thousands of computer art images. He explains a gallery and dealer have talked him into moving to Denver, Colorado. Ed has probably painted between 20,000 and 30,000 paintings in his lifetime.

Emotionally vulnerable and sensitive, he is still going strong. But like the candle of the great poet, Edna Saint Vincent Millay, Ed Christiansen burns brightly, and yet with a distinctly acetylene light.
