Lamp Community. Mark Maxman. One time wizard of late 60's San Francisco Light Shows, Mark, found the kaleidoscopic phenomena, about and within him, waxing into a vertigo of the soul. Wonders morphed to horrors. The vicinities of consciousness and of the asphalt streets both turned unkind. Mark sought change and found Lamp as a vehicle for that change.

Mark has been an esteemed resident of Lamp Village for many years. Here he has put in much time, also, as a peer advocate, sharing his wisdom and compassion with others.
These days he seeks the centering of himself, the depths of classical music, research and collection of tobacco pipes, and has introduced, as of the last few years, the Passover into the regular celebrations at Lamp. This has helped us in our goal to honor ALL religious beliefs and ALL philosophies of the memers of Lamp. Mark Maxman. Our friend and our family.
