Lamp Community. John Zappia. John has been with Lamp for many years. In our hallway we have a picture of John, ten years younger and with a "Beatles' haircut", resting at our San Julian Street Day Center. John's quietness, focus and diligence in his "chores", (he works far beyond the call of duty in the Lamp Village Cafeteria), and wry sense of humor, make him a faithful and uplifting friend. Diagnoses do not NOT get in John's way. He is as rich with his personhood as any. John Zappia, our friend and our family.
