Dear Christian Brethren,

Greetings in Christ's most blessed name!

Please allow me to introduce myself.  I am Herpha Jane
T. Obod, 25 years of age from Bohol (Philippines), and
a pastor's daughter.  At an early age, I already have
set my heart on God's ministry.  Having a father
(Rev.Clarito D. Obod, pastor of Christian and
Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines) who
had worked in different fields of God's ministry, it
has been implanted in my mind that there's no greater
calling than being called to serve God.  I've
experienced the trials and blessings, the joys and
pains of being a pastor's daughter.  My father, as a
pastor, couldn't financially afford my studies before.
But God is faithful.  He granted the desires of my
heart by allowing me to continue schooling through the
help of other people who allow themselves to be used
by God.  I graduated a degree of Bachelor of Science
in Civil Engineering by being a scholar and part-time
worker in a food chain.  Indeed, God is so good!

But thinking that I could never thank God enough for
what he has done in my life,I engage myself in another
form of ministry with the vision of helping children
and where my heart is really closest to...helping
indigent children know God and pursue their education.
I know that if not because of God's help, I wouldn't
be able to finish my studies.  My heart aches
everytime I see a child who wants to go to school but
can't because their parents can't afford to send them
to school.  Last June 2006, after getting a job as a
preschool teacher, I
started sponsoring 2 high school indigents and with
God's blessing, I was able to get additional 4
students and personally sponsored them the following
month.  With the urging of my father who also have the
same vision, I organize a scholarship program here in
our place in Bohol (Philippines)with the vision of
"Spreading God's Word... Educating children...
Changing lives..." in partnership with my father's
pioneering church and Short Term Missionary Training.
I approached my close friends if they could also
sponsor other children and much to my delight, there
are those who responded to it.  A Christian organization abroad also sponsored 5 children and provided weekly feeding for all the scholars.  Presently, we have 14
elementary and high school students in our program
with each student receiving $8 every month.  This is my way of
expressing to God how thankful I am to Him.  I
wouldn't want His blessing to stop in me, I want to
share it to other children as well. God used other
people to help me before, and now is my time to extend
my help to other children too.  Praise God that God
didn't only change the lives of our scholars now, but
we can also see how God is working in the lives of
their parents as they observe their
children's growth in the knowledge of Christ (we have
a weekly spriritual values class for the scholars
where we teach them about the Word of God).  Now even
the parents are attending the Bible class without our
urging to invite them!  They themselves realized their
need to know Christ.

I may be too young to be spearheading this ministry,
but God knows the longing of my heart to help others.
That's why I'm writing to you with the hope that you
could include this ministry (HOPE Scholarship Program)
in your prayers.

I believe that your ministry for children has the same
vision with what we have started in our small
scholarship program.
Its not only the financial help that we offer to our
scholars but also the spiritual guidance we give to
them through our Bible Classes and to their families
through our Benevolence Program (giving of used
clothing & food to their families).  Also, these
families live in a "squatters area" near the city
pier/harbor and their health and sanitary condition is
very poor.  As a very small and pioneering program,
though we have the big desire to help improve their
living condition in every way, the help we can give is
only limited since we rely on individual donations of
used clothing and food since we receive no other
funding at present (the program was first designed as
one of the outreach ministries of my father's church
planting area.  I just approached my close Christian
friends who have the heart for children for any
donations for the program.  But as I look at the
children and see how they've grown spiritually through
our Bible Classes, I shared my father's vision of
expanding it to help more children and bring them to
Christ.   Please do include our program in your
prayers.  If you are interested to help and pray for us, I'll be glad to send you a brochure of our ministry.

AN APPEAL IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR BUILD UP HUMAN LIFE

My dear Brothers, Sisters and Friends,

I want to bring in your kind notice a few words and appeal to all of you that if we send/deposit only a single dollar included myself in the solving of severe problems of human beings then this is an our big involvement and devotions towards humanity for the sake of the humans of this world.

I am living in Pakistan in the City called Mardan(N.W.F.P.) of Pakistan.

There are a lot of needy persons in Mardan Districts who are passing their life’s in the hope that one day the God will send one who will help and free him from the severe problems of his life. I also want to bring in your knowledge that life itself is a very big and precious and if we help each other then this is a big big achievement of our lives. Think for few minutes if we help specially orphans, Widows and other needy persons and the persons who are disable and passing their lives in a very difficult condition, their life may be changed due to our participation in their problems.

After all of above I will under stand that we will get the idea for which this world is made and God select us particularly for this job, i.e. job of human right and we have chosen a right path, a path of service of human beings on the humanitarian grounds. We represent blood of Jesus Christ, it means that God gifts us peace, obedience, good behavior at last we say that when we share each other then we under stand we will achieve the goal of life.

My mission is as under:-

1.    Poor families/Widow /orphans child
2.    Help in shape of education
3.    Free health Centre
4.    Religion Education
