Libby Pappalardo, Crystal Lake
Libby first met Suzanne Hoban while she was working with Project Success in 1997. The two worked together for the advancement of our area's youth and became friends from that point. Their friendship developed a desire in Libby to help at the clinic, first as a volunteer doing various jobs and projects, then as a member of the first Board of Directors for the clinic. Libby served as a board member for many years while at the same time continuing to volunteer at the clinic. Today, Libby and her husband, Brian, remain very strong supporters of the clinic.

Dr.Wilt, McHenry
Dr. Wilt joined the Family Health Partnership Clinic in 1997 when he retired from his McHenry practice. He provided many of the initial patients that year with his wonderful care. He saw patients until 2000 when malpractice costs prevented the clinic from keeping him on board. Dr. Wilt regrets that he has been unable to provide care. He remains very involved with the clinic as a proponent/advocate for improved health care coverage for all.

Lori Kane, Lake in the Hills
I took time off from my career following the birth of my daughter in 1995. I lost my health insurance and was unable to receive medical care for my chronic illness which progressed rapidly and became a life-threatening condition. I was unable to work, and thus unable to obtain a chance at health insurance. I learned about the clinic through an article in the Northwest Herald in January of 2003. The clinic arranged for me to see a specialist, enrolled me in a drug program at no cost and performed my monthly lab work. The clinic gave me back my life. My connection to the clinic expanded in January 2005 when I was asked to join the Board of Directors.

Renée and Scott became involved with the clinic through their roles on the Gavers Board. Here at the clinic, Renée and Scott have volunteered their time and talents in many facets including event planning for our Gala Dinners, participating in our Care4 Breast Cancer Race and helping whenever the need arises. They encouraged their daughter, Rhienna, to come on board at the clinic as Events Coordinator.

Jenny Streit, Crystal Lake
Jenny and her husband, John, have been supporters of the clinic for several years, after being introduced to it by Mark and Sandy Ehlert. Jenny strongly believes that health care should not be a luxury, but rather something that all have access to. Jenny puts it best: "Some of us have better luck than others; some of us have built more secure safety nets than others. Thank heaven Family Health Partnership Clinic provides a soft landing for those whose luck has changed or whose support system has failed. The line between wellness and disaster can be awfully thin."

Maryanne Schanholtz, Crystal Lake
In 2003, Maryanne came to the clinic with great enthusiasm and interest in volunteering. Quickly she was asked to support the clinic in several roles. She has been excellent at gathering support and donations for the Gala Dinners. She has many great volunteer attributes including her ability to work as a team player and master any task set before her. The staff always wants to know when Maryanne will be in to help out.

Pat Tillett, McHenry
I was referred to FHPC in 2001 and had not seen a physician in almost 2 years. I was employed part-time and had no health insurance. My blood pressure was out of control and I had a host of other related problems. For the past five years, I have been under the watchful care of Dr. Mowery and the dedicated staff of nurses. My care is structured so that I get the yearly exams I need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and the clinic prescription drug program provides me with the necessary medications I need on a daily basis. Thank you for all that you do and all that you continue to do. Without you I wouldn't be me.

Deb Nilsson, Cary
I've been volunteering at the clinic for 7 years. I worked on the IBCCP (Illinois Breast & Cervical Cancer Program) which brought in a lot of revenue for the clinic. I've updated the drug representative list, ordered supplies and have been an overall "what do you need done" volunteer. The clinic is a great place to volunteer. The staff here is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable in what they do.
