Religious Services and Pastoral Care

This department plays an intricate part in fulfilling the mission statement of Hopevale. Our goal is to rebuild the spiritual lives of our residents. To this end, the Religious Task Force, which is comprised of various leaders in the faith-based community, guides the department. This group helps to provide a network of connectedness for residents in addition to acclimating them back into a customary communal environment.

This is accomplished by determining the needs of each resident by keeping data on their religious backgrounds. Currently, the Department of Religious Services partners with Eden’s Faith Bible Baptist Church, True Bethel Baptist Church, Southtowns Christian Center, St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, The Newman’s Center South Campus Church, Our Lady of Victory Basilica and Zion Dominion Ministries . Residents worship with these bodies of believers on Sunday both on and off campus as well as for special services, youth group meetings and Bible study programs.
