·          Children Served: Hall-Dawson CASA Program advocated for the troubled lives of 392 children.

·          Gender: Of the 392 children, 205 were females and 187 males

·          Age range: 148 children were under the age of 5; 126 children between ages 6-11 and 118 between the ages of 13-18.

·          Race: 84 children were African American, 235 Caucasian, 51 Hispanic, and 22 multi-racial

·          Types of Deprivation (Abuse and Neglect of Children):

·          Neglect: (lack of basic needs, supervision, medical, and educational neglect) 77%

·          Physical Abuse: 9%

·          Sexual Abuse:     5%

·          Abandonment:     9%

·          Substance Abuse by Parents: 70%

·          145 Children reached permanency in 2008

             (reunited with family or by adoption)

·          In 2008, 147 CASA Volunteers contributed 11,969 hours

      and drove 91,674 miles to advocate for these innocent victims.
