On Saturday, December 6, 2008, Fund for Idaho hosted a Media Justice Summit designed for Progressive Idaho nonprofit organizations and individuals concerned about social and environmental justice.
Sixty-two people from Idaho and beyond attended the event. Speakers included a range of media activists, media professionals, and community activists. After a long and fruitful day, participants suggested that we create a Media Justice Working Group that can continue the dialog begun at the conference. So far, 11 people have joined that group, which meets about every other month.
