GIRL SCOUT HELPING HANDS FOOD DRIVE
The Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast
The Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast will hold the 2007 Girl Scout Helping Hands Food Drive, giving people throughout southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina an opportunity to help stop the problem of hunger in our community. Please help by placing bagged non-perishable food items in non-glass containers such as canned meats, juice, pasta, canned vegetables, cereal, and peanut butter by 9 a.m. on October 20. Paper-bag inserts will be available for easy collection in the Sunday, October 14 edition of the Daily Press and The Virginia-Pilot. Girls and adults will collect the food to be donated to local kitchens and pantries. Look for the Food Drive public service announcement on Wavy-TV 10 starting October 8. Food donations can also be broguht to any Farm Fresh store throuhout October and November.
Girl Scouts “Helping Hands Food Drive"
Lend a hand and help drive out hunger in Hampton Roads. This Saturday, October 21, 2006 Girl Scouts will be collecting non-perishable food donations from your doorsteps between 9 a.m. and Noon. Put your canned food items in a bag for easy donation.
