Clay County JobSight
The Clay County JobSight brings more than a dozen state and federal employment and training programs together under one roof to meet the needs of Clay and Jackson Counties’ job seekers and employers. JobSight centers are operated by Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP), which has served 23 eastern KY counties with innovative education, training, and workforce development programs for over 30 years. The Clay County JobSight brings you all your career needs, all in one place, all for free.
Services for job seekers include: job placement, career planning, skills assessment, vocational rehabilitation, G.E.D. courses, education and training information, student financial assistance, on-the-job training. The Clay County JobSight has a Career Resource Center where job seekers can prepare a resume, get information about labor markets and in-demand jobs, use computers, access the internet to look for jobs, a fax machine, photocopier, and helpful books and videos that range from successful job interview techniques to time management.
Services for employers include: help with finding, screening and testing job applicants; research on the local labor pool or economy; facilities for interviewing applicants; and help with developing customized or on-the-job training programs.
By being located within the Daniel Boone Community Action Agency headquarters, the Clay County JobSight also can provide access to an array of Community Action services for children, families, and senior citizens, such as child care, energy assistance, weatherization, and public transportation.
