STAFF TRAINING
Council staff members provide training to religious schools and camps staffs throughout the year. Besides offering workshops at the annual community-wide teacher training, the Council offers specialized workshops in curriculum modification, teaching strategies, behavior management, social skills and communication development. Teen classroom aides are given training to assist with both the identified and unidentified students who display learning problems in every classroom. For summer camp staffs, the Council staff provides an overview of campers with special needs that attend their camp as well as strategies for active inclusion of these campers. Staff training is available to all Jewish agencies.
The Council For Jews With Special Needs is a constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix: www.jewishphoenix.org |
