SHALOM HOUSE

Shalom House is a supervised residence for three adult Jewish men who have developmental disabilities. The house is a project of Council Properties, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Council For Jews With Special Needs, Inc. It was purchased in July 2001.

The home is 2,000 square feet and a single story dwelling. The home was built in 1995 and has a stucco exterior and red tile roof. It is located on a corner lot in a quiet familly neighborhood, two blocks north of a commercial street and a bus stop. There is a hospital located six blocks from the home, and a wide variety of shopping six blocks in the other direction. Within a five-mile radius, there are five synagogues and the Jewish Community Center. There are several shopping malls, movie theaters and two different public libraries located three miles away.

The home has a small backyard with landscaping. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a large eat-in kitchen and a great room. The two-car garage has an electric garage door opener and keypad, an extra refrigerator, utility sink and ample storage.

The home has gas heating and water heater and electricity, Phoenix city water and sewage systems, ceiling fans in all of the rooms, carpeting throughout and a tiled floor entrance, a gas fireplace, a covered patio, sunshades screens and other amenities.
