      KESHET HOUSE

Keshet House
is a supervised group residence for three young Jewish adults who have moderate to severe developmental disabilities. Since the Council began in 1985, parents of adults with special needs have expressed their desire to see their sons and daughters settled in a supervised residence that continues to nurture their Jewish identity. The residents of Keshet House have participated in religious school classes, celebrated their bar and bat mitzvahs, and joined their Jewish friends twice a month for social group activities. Andy, David and Rob look forward to celebrating Shabbat on Friday evenings, lighting their menorah for Chanukah, and enjoying the Passover seder in spring.

Andy, Rob and David anticipate moving into their new home in early 2009.

To make a donation to support the on going activities at Keshet House, please contact Becca Hornstein or call the Council office at (480) 629-5343.
