The Belle Latchman Community Service Award recognizes local Jewish agencies, organizations, or congregations that have significantly enhanced the quality of life in the greater Phoenix area.  The award honors the memory of Belle Latchman, the first woman president of Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix. The 2008 award was presented to Simchat Shabbat Services, sponsored by Council For Jews With Special Needs,

n collaboration with Congregation Beth Israel and Temple Emanuel of Tempe.
