FLOOD 2008 RECOVER FUND: CFSW has established this fund to collect and distribute tax deductible contributions in support of flood recovery efforts across the states of Iowa and Wisconsin as so designated by the donor and the CFSW Board of Directors. One hundred percent of financial donations to the Fund will be used to support nonprofit organizations providing direct assistance to individuals affected by flooding. The Flood 2008 Recovery Fund will be coordinated with other funders and basic service providers to target needs unmet by other sources.
An anonymous donor has offered a $100,000 challenge match for flood recovery contributions. The Foundation is challenging the communities across Southern Wisconsin and Iowa to match this most generous gift.
Contributions may be sent to Flood Recovery Fund, c/o Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, 26 South Jackson, Janesville, WI 53547-8152. Donors are welcomed to designate their gift to specific communities, counties or regions in Iowa or Wisconsin.
