AAAP 2008
25th Annual Education Meeting

Pediatrics: Past, Present, Future
Ventana Canyon Resort - Tucson, Arizona
May 17-20, 2008

Tucson is located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, a unique land of towering Saguaro cactus, lush desert vegetation, and abundant wildlife. Here, mountains, saguaros, and sunsets surround you and skies are clear nearly every day. The city is ringed by five mountain ranges including the prominent Santa Catalinas, rugged Tucson mountains, and a picturesque Tortolitas. For a commanding view of the city, drive up to Tucson’s Sentinel Peak where you can see the whole valley. If you seek a change of pace, drive to the top of Mt. Lemmon, 30 miles and 30 degrees cooler in the Aspen and Ponderosa Pine forest.

Tucson’s golf is world-class and spectacular. Tucson is consistently rated one of the best golfing destinations in the western United States.

Shopping is in abundance with contemporary malls, quaint plazas, specialty boutiques, antique stores, and artisan galleries.

Discover the area’s Hispanic culture, Native American culture, Native American history, Cowboys of the past, plus numerous Missions and Churches. Encounter a wide variety of bird species that can be observed all year long. Humming birds are especially plentiful. Enjoy stargazing with stellar views from some of the clearest skies in the US. The variety of terrain and climate zones offer many types of outdoor recreation adventures while hiking, cycling or mountain biking.
