Q:  What does "YWCA" stand for?

A:  Young Women's Christian Association

QIs the YWCA open to women only?

                 A:  No, the YWCA is open to women AND men of all ages.  

Q:  What does the YWCA of Westmoreland County do?

                A:  The YWCA of Westmoreland County offers over 60 different programs.  Preschool, Before and After School Childcare and Summer Day Camp are offered for children ranging in age from 3 to 14.  The YWCA is home to the Westmoreland County Literacy Program in which non-reading adults are taught the English language and where non-English speaking people can learn the English language.  The YWCA also offers Computer Classes, Wellness Classes such as yoga, tai chi and cooking.  The YWCA of Westmoreland County also owns and operates a Thrift Shop.  These are just a few of the many programs and services offered.
