The YWCA Thrift Shop Accepts Donations Three Ways:
Donations: any item given as a direct donation for resale. Items are accepted throughout the year.
Tax-Deductible Donations: credit will accumulate for all donations made between January 1 and November 1 of that particular year. Name and address must be attached to all donations in order to receive credit. A tax deductible slip will be mailed to you by December 31; all donations made that year will be accounted for on the deduction form.
Consignment: Owners agree to a sale price for each item of which they will receive 50% if the item is sold. Seasonal, tax free clothing in good condition only. Clothing must be cleaned and pressed. Only 12 items per intake will be accepted. Agreements are good for 30 days. After 30 days, the items must be picked up by the consignor or it becomes property of the Thrift Shop. Items may be limited due to overstock. Consignor checks are issued on the 10th of each month and may be picked up at the Thrift Shop. After 6 months, any unclaimed checks become property of the Thrift Shop.
