(Your Name Here) Mentoring Program
Help Others to Network Online & Accomplish their Goals
with Character And Compassion
There’s a movement gaining momentum everyday and it’s global! It’s about mentoring, inspiring, and empowering one another to realize we can all make a positive difference; simply by passing on kind acts and good deeds.
The Pass it Forward (PIF) Movement helped me find my purpose, so that I could develop my passion and bring my PIF program to the world. After being online for 30 minutes with my mentor(www.30minutementor.org), I am now able to help others too. There is no charge for my services as I am a volunteer mentor representing the PIF movement. Together we can make a difference!
PIF and I are now networking with people and organizations that also want to do what is right & help others. (Its ALL Who You Know) Additionally PIF gave me the opportunity to be a mentor myself, and now I also have online mentors to help me achieve my goals. For more information go to www.30minutementor.org.
I have always felt that I can help make a positive difference in another person's life, I just didn't know how to go about it. Then, I saw this note posted on the bulletin board at my school that I could mentor a younger student in an area that I felt that I could be of benefit. This one area happened to be soccer.
The ad on the buletin board said that I can do exactly what I want to be doing, when I want to be doing it, under my own terms and conditions, under the following two circumstances. 1) I must abide by all six pillars of character; 2) My program must be great for everyone involved.
I then went door to door to earn enough money from my neighbors to earn the the right to be a mentor of a younger student. I raised $50.00 and received $45.00 back in the form of a grant from We, The World (WTW). After receiving the money I opened up a separate bank account because this $45.00 was to be used as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit program. Of the $45.00 I was allowed to keep $4.50 for myself, and the balance of $40.50 was to be used for my protege (mentee).
I then proceeded to place my own ad on the buletin board that I would mentor a 5th grader in soccer on Thursday afternoons after school from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm every Thursday.
The first thing I did was buy a brand new soccer ball along with a PIF journal, book on soccer, accomplishment ribbons and certificates, etc. I even had money left over for a pizza party to celebrate my mentee's accomplishments.
Every person that has created their own PIF program may highlight their program on this website just like I have. Now you too can create your own PIF program based upon your "gift" or a specific PIF that happened in your past. For more information, go to www.aunitedworld.org.
The Pass It Forward Movement embraces all creeds, religions, and political beliefs. If it doesn’t appeal to 100% of the population then it is not part of the movement.
