"A PIF Mentor Passes Forward Information Online To Help Others"
Kickoff: September 11, 2009
$3 Trillion Dollar Deficit? $4 Trillion Dollar Deficit? What if Americans Raised $5 Trillion Dollars and set an example for the rest of the world? Let's teach by example! Which country will lead the world @ doing what is right? It's just 10% of your "thoughts" on a daily basis! Spread the word!
Having a tough time finding a job? It may be easier to find a "Sponsorship Mentor" rather than a job! Americans Investing in Americans (AIA) is attempting to solve the unemployment problem here in the United States by teaching Americans how they can make a positive difference in this world by performing their gift to help others.
The Pass It Forward Movement (PIF) is looking for volunteers to help make the world a better place, and a We, The World (WTW) "Sponsorship Mentor" may be able to help by giving a grant to help their cause. As an example, Hanna Golden www.aunitedworld.org/hanna.asp was given a grant as part of the My Fair Mentee program www.aunitedworld.org/mfm.asp. 11 Days of Global Unity, launched by www.wetheworld.org in September, 2004 is an annual worldwide promotion of peace and sustainability, involving 60 countries around the world. It is a platform for linking local awareness and action campaigns into an inspiring international movement for peace, sustainability and transformation. Check out the 2009 September 11-21 Days of Global Unity at www.wetheworld.org/11days. WTW is a global collaboration for a livable future. Get involved! Each of us can contribute to maximizing social change, and make the world a better place.
Example of "Sponsor Mentorship" for youth:
1) Akim is a 6th grader and had the desire to mentor a 5th grader in an area that Akim knew he could be of benefit to a younger student. This one area happened to be soccer. In order for Akim to create "Akim's Mentoring Program", Akim went door to door to raise $50.00 from the neighbors. Of the $50.00 Akim sent to WTW, he received 90% back in the form of a grant for $45.00. Now, Akim had to set up a separate bank account because this $45.00 was to be used as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit program. Akim is only allowed to keep 10% of the $45.00 for himself ($4.50), and now must spend the balance of $40.50 to the cause. The $40.50 went towards buying a soccer ball, a journal, book on soccer, accomplishment ribbons and certificates, and anything else that he needed to help. He even had money leftover for a pizza party to celebrate the 5th grader's accomplishments.
