 ON-GOING RECRUITMENT:

SOCIAL WORKER I or II / COUNSELOR I or II: 

  • Full-Time and Part-time positions available with The Neighborhood Center's Behavioral Healthcare services.
  • Ability to function independently and assist with leadership role.
  • Possess ability to work at multiple sites as necessary (child guidance clinics, schools, and family homes.)
  • Provide individual, family and group therapies to children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Must possess thorough and substantial knowledge of mental health issues affecting children, adolescents and their families an have experience providing therapies as per above.
  • Social Worker or Counselor I requires Master's Degree in Social Work with LMSW credential and a minimum of three (3) years post-Master's experience as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a mental health setting OR Master's Degree in Counseling or closely related human service field and three (3) years post-Master's experience in a mental health setting .
  • Social Worker II or Counselor II requires Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW, LMSW, or LCSW) or Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Master's Degree in Creative Arts Therapy.
 
SUPPORTIVE CASE MANAGER
  • Full-time position with The Neighborhood Center's Supportive Case Management Team.
  • Assist adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness with life skills and independence in the community.
  • Flexibility and good communication skills a must. 
  • Must have experience working with the target population.
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or closely related  field.

SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP FOR YOUTH CASEWORKER [Various School Districts]

  • Provide school-based preventative services to children and families.
  • Good assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of social service delivery system and community resources.
  • Bachelor's degree with twelve (12) credits in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or Child Development required. 

NEW / OPEN POSITIONS:

ON-CALL CRISIS COUNSELORS

  • An opportunity to supplement your income with a P/T job that fits into your schedule.
  • On-call crisis counselor positions (part-time responding to calls from home) are available on the Mobile Crisis Assessment Team [MCAT].
  • Provide crisis services for children and adults in Oneida and Herkimer Counties on weekends and holidays.
  • Wear a beeper as respond as needed.
  • Work the weekends / holidays that fit into your schedule.
  • Master's degree in Social Work or closely related field OR Registered Nurse with psychiatric experience.
COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH NURSE
  • Part-time position (without benefits).
  • Work up to 19 hours per week. Flexible schedule with one (1) Tuesday or Thursday evening per week required.
  • Work as a member of the clinical treatment team at the Rome Child Guidance Clinic. 
  • Responsibilities include screening / evaluating prospective clients for admission to mental health services and assisting the team by providing clinical interpretations of medical / psychiatric examinations, diagnoses, and medications prescribed as it relates to clinical and psychiatric nursing care.
  • NYS Licensed Registered Nurse or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and two (2) years of related experience with a minimum of one (1) year of which must have been in public health, mental health or psychiatric nursing in a position providing direct services to children and families in a clinic setting.  
 
ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER (NEW)
  • Full-Time Position.
  • Assists in planning, developing and analyzing programs/services for short and long-term goals based on needs and outcomes.
  • Assists in the preparation of grant  proposals including compilation of data and preparation of budget projections.
  • Prepare reports and analyses to include fiscal data, progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations.
  • Assist in ensuring program compliance with all regulatory, contractual and accreditation bodies.
  • Duties include resource management and back-up for some Human Resource functions.
  • Works in concert with Senior Management team and reports to the Executive Director.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or closely related field and five (5) years administrative senior management experience in the not-for-profit sector.
