OUR SECOND CHANCE!!!!!!

Many of you know how hard we tried this past spring to be one of the top 20 shelters in the running for a shelter makeover and how BADLY TLC needs a shelter makeover. Now is our chance to capture the top prize! If you haven't done so already, please register on Zootoo.com (tell your friends and family to do the same) and identify Ten Lives Club as your designated shelter. Follow instructions (how to earn points) to earn the points we need to win. Hurry, we only have until 3/13/09.

Ten Lives Club's standing as of 10/12/08 is 32

"Give 'em Ten So They Can Say When To Open The Doors Again" Campaign

Attention

Sadly, Ten Lives Club is experiencing a severe financial crisis and cannot accept any surrendered cats into the program until further notice. Currently there are some 300 cats at our clubhouse and another 125 cats and kittens in foster homes, all of whom rely on donations, fundraisers, and adoption fees to be fed, cleaned up after, and provided with medical care on a regular basis. We desperately need the community's help to continue doing the work of caring for the homeless and unwanted cats and kittens in WNY.

Donations can be mailed to:

Ten Lives Club
P.O. Box 253
North Boston, NY 14110

Please specify that your donation is for the "Give 'em Ten So They Can Say When To Open The Doors Again" Campaign

Thank you!

TLC Cat of the Month

BINDU

Come out and meet this lovable 3-year-old tuxedo male. He's laid back and low key, and would do best in a quiet home as an only cat or with nonaggressive cats.

Cleaners needed at the clubhouse
We have fifteen various rooms (the majority of which house our rescued cats) at the shelter that need to be tended to and cleaned every single day. No matter the day, holiday, or the weather conditions the shelter has to be cleaned and our cats taken care of. If you can spare an hour or two a week or a few times a month, we would love the help.

Volunteers need to be 18+. Children 10 and over with an adult are also welcome. Cleaning involves scooping litter boxes, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washes dishes and/or litter pans, and doing laundry.

Please fill out the volunteer form or stop by the shelter if you are interested in helping.
Peace of mind for the cats!
Cameras andmonitors areproviding 24 hours protection for our shelter. We want to prevent any future break-ins and most importantly protect our cats and kittens from any harm! We also hope to deter irresponsible people from leaving cats and kittens in taped boxes in our parking lot!
GRAND OPENING of Ten Lives Club's New Shelter

We are a non-profit cat adoption and rescue organization located in Western New York. We rely on donations to help us feed, medicate, and house over 400 cats in our program. By 2007 TLC will have helped save the lives of over 4000+ cats and kittens whether through adoptions, spay and neutering efforts or through the assistance they offer. Please consider making a donation, purchasing our merchandise or donating canned food, litter, or any supplies that we can use at our three cat shelters.

Ten Lives Club began in January 2001 with a dream to be able to save as many cats as possible. In December 2004, TLC reached a huge milestone in that they adopted out their 2000th cat! That means 2,000 cats were saved and kept alive and adopted into new homes thanks to Ten Lives Club. In 2006, we had 736 adoptions. We also provided financial assistance to six pet owners so that they could keep their pet in their home. Ten Lives also took in cats from two local non-profit rescue groups, assisted the SPCA and City Shelter with surrendered cats, took in cats from: Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, W. Virginia, Ohio, and outside WNY shelters.

Ten Lives Club is a registered non-profit organization that is made up of volunteers all devoted to the club's mission, "to promote, further and enhance all cat life". All cats matter to us no matter if a stray, a personal pet, a feral (wild cat) or a sick cat. Once a cat is surrendered to our group a thorough evaluation is done by one of our affiliated vets and all the necessary testing and shots are given. Most important, they are spayed and neutered. TLC believes strongly that the answer to the serious pet overpopulation problem is to spay and neuter!
